I’ve been stranded in the wilds of Northern Ontario where internet access has been limited. Luckily, I found enough to update this post and keep on top of things, but streaming is unavailable!

Even being this far from home, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the water damage and how that’s going to become a big part of my life when we get home. I’m pretty sure that almost everything in the basement is going to be ruined. I just hope the insurance company don’t try to cheap out on us. Only time will tell.

The Weekly Recap!

Anime Goal – ? Episodes

With no access to streaming, I been unable to keep up with Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead or Mushoku Tensei II: Jobless Reincarnation. That’ll be a fun activity when I get home next week. Time has been a premium too so despite downloading a bunch of shows to watch, I’ve only managed to get through 2 episodes. It was the last two of season one of Overlord. As I had never reviewed them, it seemed like a good show to revisit.

Manga Goal – ? Volumes

Another thing I did in preparation of the vacation was to download the five remaining volumes of The Island of Giant Insects. Reading is apparently less unsociable than watching anime so I breezed through all five volumes and a had a great time. I’ll probably need to skim them again before reviewing them, but that’s not a problem.

Posting Goal – 1 Posts

My only goal from last week was to write this post and as you can tell, I have achieved that. It was just one post but that’s fine. So, yeah, not much else to report here.

Writing Goal – ?

Writing on the tablet is all right, but it’s not the same as a full size keyboard. As such, and time limits no withstanding, I have not done any writing, planning, outlining, plotting, or anything that might be considered work towards to writing.

Drawing Goal – ?

I have done a little drawing and playing around with some line art. I’d love to start working on learning about colouring but that requires some tutorials which take up too much bandwidth.

Aspirations for the Week!

I have another week before I am back home, and then the cleanup begins… anyhow, it’s going to be another week of the same. I’ll see what I can do, but I’m setting no goals. I’m keeping things easy.

I have another couple of shows downloaded so if I have time, I’ll get to them. If I don’t, I don’t.

Reading Manga

I don’t have any more manga downloaded, but I do have some light novels to catch up on so maybe I’ll dive into those..

Writing

I might jot down some ideas. I have already earmarked my current location as a good place to survive the zombie apocalypse as there’s lots of wood and nature. Plus it gets crazy cold in the winter which will make things harder for zombies.

Artwork Completed

I’m going to continue to work on my line art and hopefully develop a few frames that I’ll be able to reuse with different characters. I had always planned on developing a number of poses and face frames so it’s work I had planned on doing anyway.

Final Thoughts

I’m glad that I wasn’t completely without internet for two weeks but it hasn’t been all bad either. The kids definitely needed the chance to unplug and enjoy nature. That said it is one of the few home comforts that I’m noticing being without. The other is air conditioning. I am so freaking hot that I can’t say I’ve slept well once so far. Hopefully, that’ll improve as I get used to the heat, although being from England, I’m designed for the rain not the heat. Anyhow, thanks for reading.
