Jujutsu Kaisen (Episode 24) – Accomplices
What happened?
With an estimate of ten to fifteen minutes to live and the blood poisoning them, Esou and Kechizu seem to think that they have won. Of course, they didn’t count on just who they were facing. Nobara pulled out a nail and laughed. They picked the wrong person to use this technique on. She can use the blood to inflict pain back on them using her resonance technique.
To make matter worse for Esou and Kechizu, Itadori is completely resistant to poison. He spins around and attacks Kechizu, hitting him over and over and over. Then, once he’s weakened, they swap places. Itadori runs at Esou and hits him with Black Flash, blowing his arm away. Nobara fires a nail into Kechizu and takes him down.
However, he’s not down for good. Kechizu jumps up and leaps at Nobara who has her back turned. She lets out a sinister smile and tells them that she hasn’t shown them this technique yet. Nobara clicks her fingers and mutters the word – hairpin. Kechizu is ripped in two and dies.

Just then a delivery truck races past them. One guy yells out of the window telling them to get off the road. However, Esou has jumped onto the back of the truck and pulls one of the guys out of the cab. He tells the other to drive and if he breaks, they both die.
Itadori raced after them, but it didn’t look like he was going to catch up. That’s when Nobara slammed another nail into Esou’s severed arm and activated Resonance. He fell from the back of the truck right into Itadori’s Black Flash.
They find Fushiguru alive and well, still holding one of Sukuna’s fingers. He hands it to Itadori but warns him not to eat it. He’s very clear about that. Then just as he goes to take it, Sukuna’s mouth appears in his palm and swallows the finger.
Between the three of them, they had defeated three Special Grade curses. That might get them a little time off, but not if Gojou has anything to do with it.

What did you think?
When the school event ended with the baseball game, I was wondering what they could do for the final three episodes to top that arc. Well, this is it! This is what you do. You go bigger! I loved this episode. It was incredible. The moment that Nobara realised what they were up against and started hammering nails into her own arm was insane. She is one tough girl!
I mentioned Fushiguru’s darker side in the last post and we got to see more of Nobara’s in this one. Itadori remained pretty much as he always does, which is probably why it hits him hardest that Esou and Kechizu were spirits inside human bodies. Still, it’s a fine line and I think that someone is going to end up as a villain. But that’s for another season. I already can’t wait.

What have you learnt?
This episode gave us a little insight into the bizarre cursed things that Mahito stole. They looked like foetuses in glass jars and they were. However, the story of where they came from was dark. Dark with a capital D. There was a girl who was able to conceive a child with a cursed spirit. When her family shunned her she found her way to a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Only, this guy was the worst of the worst and did countless experiments on her, creating nine of these cursed foetuses.
Mohito had recovered three and given them new bodies, but now there is only one left. That, of course, ups the stakes for next season. On a lighter note, I loved how Sukuna was able to eat the finger, giving Itadori no chance to resists. This story feels like it has a long way to go and based on this season, I will be there for the duration.
