The Destroyal is about to begin and everyone appears to be enjoying a lavish party, well, everyone but Yuuya who is still incredibly uncomfortable with all of this. Hitomi, however, is raring to go!

Killing Bites (Episode 4) – That’s Why I Told You To Stop, You Scum!

What happened?

Hitomi and Yuuya are on a luxury cruise ship heading towards a remote uninhabited island along with all the other participants of the Destroyal. There’s a little banter between the fighters and Taiga makes a point of calling out Leo for not taking part, although he claims he’s still injured from his fight with Hitomi. Everyone seems fairly excited, everyone but Yuuya who is quietly crapping himself.

Yuuya spots the heiress of the Mitsukado Zaibatsu, Youko Mitsukado. She obviously hasn’t forgotten their last meeting in which she told him not to enter. Anyhow, they’ve reached the island and it’s time for the fighters to move to their positions and the players to take their seats. Yuuya finds himself sitting next to Youko and attempts to make small talk, but she’s not about to go easy on him.

Each player rolls a die and then moves their fighter so many spaces. Everyone seems to be aware of Yuuya and can’t wait to see him screw up, so when he makes the best move in the game everyone is shocked. Youko can’t believe her eyes, but then she realises that Hitomi made the move by giving Yuuya directions. She’s even more shocked to see that Hitomi is running what she calls Operation Unthink!

The Bear moves towards Hitomi and prepares to fight. He’s been given some advice on how to beat her and puts everything into his first attack. Hitomi was ready for him and counters with her slash attack, taking him out with one hit. Youko is even more shocked, as is Yuuya.

Meanwhile, Ichinosuke is attacked by Taiga but survives, transforming into his hippo form. He’s then joined by two other brutes from different Zaibatsus and it looks like it’s going to be three on one!

What did you think?

This episode was fairly slow as the build-up to the Destroyal continued, but they were all moving towards the beginning so I didn’t have any issues with it. I actually enjoyed the little series of face-offs as we were slowly introduced to all the fighters. My absolute favourite thing about this episode was Youko Mitsukado and her many faces, all directed at Yuuya. She clearly looks down on him and it’s not hard to see why, but it was hilarious. It’s a good job they’re not playing poker because her face does not lie!

The fight between Hitomi and the bear was quick but very satisfying. That said, I am really looking forward to the next episode where it looks like we’re going to see a lot more fighting. This series is crazy, but it’s a lot of fun too.
