Darkness has quit the party but she hasn’t given them any reason to accept it. They even show up at her house at all hours of the night, demanding an explanation. Then, Kazuma hears a rumour that she is the wed Aldarp!

What happened?
Megumin, Kazuma, and Darkness arrived at the gates to the Dustiness family estate and demanded an explanation. When the butler showed up and told them to leave, Aqua handed him a pouch of money in the hopes he would let them in. He refused and instead called the guards who chased them away. However, they were determined to get to the bottom of things. After the initial frustration, Kazuma went to the guild to find a new member for the party. After all, without a tank, they had absolutely zero endurance combined. However, Megumin tagged along and scared off the only applicant and made sure no one else even considered it.
Kazuma’s hunt for a party member had to be put on hold when Dust came to him concerned that Rin was in trouble with a noble. He’d been following her for a while and didn’t like what he’d been seeing. So, he was stalking her. Anyhow, Kazuma agreed to help him out. They followed Rin to a nice house in town and then listened in as the noble asked for a lewd picture. The lewder the better. She refused. When they left, Dust and Kazuma went into the room and found some lacey underwear and a camera. Dust put it on and told Kazuma to take some pictures. If he wanted lewd pictures, he was going to get them. After a while, they had gotten a little too into the photoshoot and didn’t notice Rin and the noble enter the room. Rin was disappointed, but she told Kazuma to follow. Outside, she told him that the noble had been trying to arrange a meeting with Dust and not her… Well, now he had it and a camera full of lewd Dust photos…
Before leaving, Rin told Kazuma that she heard a rumour that Darkness was going to marry Aldarp. Well, that settled it. Kazuma was going to get her. He decided to go in alone thanks to his thief skills, although Aqua gave him a series of power-ups before he went in, including Versatile Entertainer. Since Kazuma had no idea where Darkness’ room was, he used Versatile Entertainer to mimic voices and ordered some food for her. Having found her, he copied the butler’s voice to gain entry to her room. However, she yelled for help, so he copied her voice and said some less-than-savoury things, all of which I think she enjoyed. Things took an unexpected turn when, at one point, she looked like she was going to kiss him. Unfortunately, he had to comment on her rock-hard abs, which meant he had to run for his life. Before escaping, he spoke with Darkness’ father who asked him to run away with Darkness and not to worry about his debt.
What did you think?
Kazuma cannot stop from saying the most ridiculous things at the worst possible time. Seriously, Darkness was about to kiss him and all he could do was comment on her abs, which he knows is a point of concern for her. It shouldn’t be. We should all be so lucky as to have Darkness’s rock-hard abs. Anyhow, the plot thickens. So we know that Aldarp has somehow managed to get into a position where he can take care of Lord Dustiness’ debt if Darkness marries him. We don’t know how the debt happened, but Lord Dustiness’ illness may have something to do with it. Either way, there’s still a way out. I did laugh about Darkness’ ability to get aroused by the thought of utter humiliation from being Aldarp’s wife.
However, the moment that had me crying with laughter was when Dust and Kazuma did their photoshoot. That was just too funny and while it was fairly obvious that there was something else going on, it was so funny that it turned out he was interested in Dust and not Rin. The way she took Kazuma and left was brilliant. Then, they heard a scream from outside and instead of running to help Dust, they looked at one another and then quickly ran away. Brilliantly on character!
The other star of this episode was the Versatile Entertainer skill that Aqua gave Kazuma. It seemed like she just tacked it on at the end in the goofy way she does. We know she’s so proud of her entertaining skills, but I never expected it to be such a useful and brilliantly perfect skill for Kazuma. I wonder if it’s a temporary boost or whether he’ll get to keep that because that could be a lot of fun, and or trouble depending on the use. I can’t believe we’re almost at the end of the season already. I need much more!
