Length Matters! (Give it a Light Novel Title)
There’s nothing quite like a brief synopsis posing as a title. Recently, several anime shows have emerged with their Light Novel title intact. Sure, we give them cute short names, but in reality, length matters…
It feels like ages have passed since Dewbond tagged me in this challenge, that he also created, but it was only two weeks ago. So, I don’t feel too bad for delaying. Admittedly everyone one and their dog has given it a go and there’s been some great titles put forward. I have received a couple more nominations in that time, so I’d like to also quickly thank Keiko and Pinkie.
Rules
- Choose up to five anime, manga or visual novel series that have a short title
- Light novels that have shorter titles (Date A Live for example) are also allowed.
- Give these series a new title based on those classic overly long Light Novels we love!
- If someone has already picked a series you wanted. It’s OK! Let’s see your own take on the title!
- Link back to the original post so I can read people’s suggestions, I’d love to read everyone’s ideas.
- Include Give it a Light Novel title in your tags so everyone including myself can find them all easily.
- Nominate around 1-6 bloggers.

All right, so this one is already a long title, but I don’t think it quite does the series justice so I am proposing we start to use this instead.
A goddess made fun of me so I took her with me to my dangerous new life!
Rokka – Braves of the Six Flowers
Recently watched this one and loved it, so it seems only fair to give it a new title too.
I’m the strongest man in the world, so why won’t anybody trust me to defeat the Demon God!
Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs
This series was a riot and I think this new title captures the soul of the show!
I saved money on my room at the hot springs, because it’s haunted by a busty, teenage ghost!
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
Oh, look zombies! Of course, there’s zombies in here.
I’ve had it with these mother f*cking zombies on this mother f*cking train!
Highschool of the Dead
We all knew it was coming…
It wasn’t until everyone turned into zombies that girls started to notice me!
