YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of This World (Episode 11) – That Kiss, Once More
What happened?
Waking to find himself still deep inside the mysterious mountain structure, Takuya sees his mother across the underground lake. She offers him some advice and tells him not to give up. He wakes moments later, realizing that was just a dream. Either way, he’s not about to ignore the advice, not with how things have been going for him lately.
Exactly where his mother had appeared to him, Takuya discovers one of the missing crystals for the reflector device. He also finds a path that leads them out and into more ruins. Takuya finds a rusty sword and can’t help but play with it. You never know when these things may come in handy. Anyhow, Takuya and Mio find their way to the central core of the mountain and discover a futuristic-looking device, the air fizzling with electricity.
Mitsuki emerges from a rock face and pulls her gun on them, demanding that Takuya hands over the reflector device. He refuses and she shoots. The tall device hums with electricity, seeming to come to life behind Mitsuki. Takuya tries to reason with her, telling her that she’s been controlled by Ryuuzouji. For a brief moment, she breaks free from his control and does the only thing she can think of to save her beloved Takuya. She points the gun at herself and pulls the trigger!
What did you think?
I am loving YU-NO. Once again, we are treated to some really heartbreaking stuff as Mitsuki sacrifices herself to save Takuya. This series really doesn’t pull any punches. The episode was low on notable ecchi moments, but it certainly made up for them with the story and the shock factors. More and more details are becoming available to Takuya and us and it’s making for a thoroughly engaging story. I’m so glad this is a twenty-six episode season.
