What happened?

That was what had led his boss to believe she was a virgin and his curiosity meant that Hachiya had to find out. After some drinks and food, Hachiya was starting to realise that Yukuhashi was a lot of fun. She could drink and he enjoyed talking to her. However, she then asked him why he asked her out for drinks. He’d never so much as looked in her direction before. Unfortunately, Hachiya allowed the booze to do the talking. He told her his boss wanted to know if she was a virgin. He only realised what he had said once the words had reached Yukuhashi.

She got up and left. However, Hachiya ran after her apologising as he went. He told her that it was how it started, but he was having a lot of fun and was honestly enjoying their after-work drinks. Yukuhashi turned around and looked at him. Then, she turned to the building beside them and then looked back at Hachiya. It was a love hotel. Before he could even think, they were in a room and Yukukashi was undressing. She revealed to him that she was a virgin. He promised to take good care of her. After having sex, Hachiya asked Yukuhashi why she didn’t reject him when he told her about his boss. She just said because and she wanted to leave it at that.

Everyone seems to be doing some sort of Valentine-themed post. That got me thinking – what would be a truly atypical Valentine’s post? Then, it hit me. Back in April of 2023, I reviewed my first hentai. In truth, it was only marginally more erotic than some modern ecchi titles. There was sex, but it wasn’t weird… if you know what I mean! Anyhow, I figured why not do another one? After a little research, I discovered that the studio that made Overflow also had some other titles out and this one seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I mean who doesn’t love a good office romance? It also occurred to me that romance shouldn’t only exist on Valentine’s Day so for the next eight weeks, I’ll be dipping into Simple Yet Sexy or Jimihen!! Jimiko wo Kaechau Jun Isei Kouyuu!! for the purists!

So, this was an interesting opening episode. There was some fairly outrageous office sexism at work here, but then anyone who was aware of Hollywood in the nineties will be familiar with the ordinary-looking girl who turns out to be a knockout once she takes off her glasses and gets a quick wardrobe makeover. In fact, I think the English title for this series isn’t better than the actual translation, but that’s not a decision for me to make. I loved that Yukuhashi knew that something was up and called Hachiya out. I didn’t expect him to blurt out the real answer so that was funny. However, after going to all the trouble to impress him, Yukuhashi clearly had her goal for the night and was determined to reach it. I enjoyed the epsiode and loved how cute Yukuhashi was throughout.
