What can you possibly add to a series about girls kissing and turning into weapons? Well, I’m glad you asked. The answer is a beach episode obviously and why not throw in a giant naked girl too!
Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid (Episode 5) – Giant Girl, Little Heart
What happened?
Mirei and Mamori were out in the forest looking for mushrooms when they stumbled upon a giant naked girl crying. It turned out that she had run away from Veste when Charlotte tried to make her marry a girl other than her friend from before they came to Mermaid Island. She also has no idea why she’s so big. They take her back to Torino’s and get her clothed and fed, but when they realise that Nini Minimi has eaten all the food they head to the beach for a spot of fishing… and they’ll need bikinis!
The next morning, Nini Minimi grows even larger, bursting out of her makeshift bikini. Unsure of what to do, Mamori suggests she goes back to Veste and rescues her girlfriend, Noe. It sounds like a great idea but then what if they think she’s attacking the castle? Nini Minimi has a close encounter with Charlotte, but eventually finds Noe and manages to return to her normal size.
What did you think?
So if you’re a fan of giant naked girls this episode is going to be perfect for you. I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t be, but I just thought I should state that upfront. It definitely feels like a filler episode as it does little to progress the story or Mirei and Mamori’s relationship, but it was fun all the same and you won’t hear any complaints about a beach/swimsuit episode from me. There’s not too much else to say about this one other that Charlotte’s reaction to finding herself face to… err… face with Nini Minimi’s giant nipple was hilarious. Also, who else wanted to dive into those giant boobs from a balcony?

There’s a manga I’ve been meaning to check out called Gigant which has a giant girl in. I wonder if they have the same issues in that story too!
