Author Journey (August 23, 2021)

I am on a break! Seriously though, this is the first time in probably two years that I’ve actually switched off and it feels pretty good. I’m also looking forward to getting back to writing, but not for another week!

#AmWriting
Before leaving, I made sure that I had some things to work on so that I could remain productive. It’s really hard to switch off, especially when I have so much I want to do. Anyhow, I’ve been away for a week now and haven’t touched anything. The weirdest thing about that is that I don’t even mind.
Normally, I am a night owl and stay up very late, but on vacation I have crashed every single night without even having time to read. I haven’t watched a single episode of anime either. It’s just been really relaxed and that’s probably been a good thing after eighteen months of working nonstop.
I have another week before I’m home and it’s the longest I’ve been without my laptop for ages. I’m writing this on my phone so hopefully, there won’t be too many typos… I think the complete break will be good for me in the long run.
It’s been good for the family too as they’ve been able to see relatives and get away from the usual routine. Surprisingly, not everyone is as adept to routine as I am, but then I could eat the same thing every day without complaint… I do like my routine.
The only thing that I have really been doing outside of vacationing has been the new mobile game – KonoSuba: Fantastic Days which has been a great way to kill a little time. As a huge fan of KonoSuba, there was no way I was going to miss this game and so far it’s been a lot of fun, especially when I pulled a four star Darkness card. Happy days!
So yeah, that’s been about it. I haven’t even thought about writing except to make mental notes of funny things people have said which I’m sure will somehow slip into my writing. Haha, not even sorry.
#Blogging
As I said earlier, I haven’t watched a single episode of anime and it’s probably the longest I’ve gone in years. Luckily, my current schedule allows me to do that and keep the blog going. Last week was the first week of the show replacing Otherside Picnic. I am now looking at the second season of How Not to Summin a Demon Lord, which I have already finished. My new schedule is pretty awesome.
Jujutsu Kaisen and Heaven’s Lost Property have many more posts left to come, but I’m already planning the shows to follow them. Obviously, once I’m back home.
So, yeah, as you can see the new schedule has allowed me to go on vacation without any loss of momentum so it’s been a great test for when I get back and want to pour more of my time into writing. I am planning on getting the first full-length ength novel out later this year and this will help.
This has been a shorter post than normal, but typing on my phone is a lot more intensive than using a keyboard. Next week, things will be back to normal. Thanks for reading and stay safe.

I can relate completely to this( and by this, I mean posting from the phone). I felt tired after I published my last post from the phone🤣
P.S. Cheering for your new novel and you bud. Keep grinding! 💪
Yeah. The last time I wrote a post on my phone was for the first season of the Promised Neverland as I was on vacation midway through the season and didn’t want it spoiling. It’s so much harder than a keyboard.
Thanks. The grind is what I’m good at. No retreat, no surrender!
Sounds like you DESERVED a vacation. Good luck when you get back into your WIP!
Thanks. I’m sure it’s going to be good to come back refreshed and ready to hit the ground running.
