Author Journey (July 22, 2024)
I’m in my fourth country in three weeks and can finally settle down and relax. However, the heat seems to have followed me from Barcelona and England is not built for it!

Favourite Moment!
Back in 2018 when I was most prolific with my writing, I paused my work on Valiant Lineage to work on a project called Black Death. It was a collaborative story with two other authors. We each had a character surviving in a global pandemic (this was well before COVID happened). Over the course of three books their stories slowly intertwined. My story followed a woman named Kat as she travelled from the South West of England in search of survivors.
I grew up there so am fairly familiar with the area. As I live in Canada now, I used Google Maps to follow her journey. Bizarrely, I was taken on a family event last weekend which went down the exact same road Kat travelled on. It was brilliantly surreal and has suddenly brought that story to life in my head once more. I have sixty thousand words of the story sitting on my hard drive ready to get back to work on. I’ve got to get some of these projects finished!
Reading, Writing, Watching!
I’ve been reading more of the Mushoku Tensei light novel and continue to enjoy it. I haven’t watched anything at all. It’s getting me a little antsy to get back to it, especially as I haven’t started on the Spring 2024 season.

Aspirations for the week!
I’ve got no plans to go anywhere for the next week so I’ll be focused on relaxing and enjoying my time in England. I’m going to try to watch something because I really want to, but I don’t know how that will work out. Thanks for reading.
