Honey Trap Shared House (Volume 4) – I Was Just Following Orders!

What happened?

Hiyato offered Hyouka the chance to join him as a double agent. Yashime would protect her, however, she revealed that she has a family back in Ceres and if she defected, she would fear for their safety. Becoming a spy was her only way to escape from the poverty her family faced. That resonated with Seraphy who was keeping a close eye on things from the shadows. Both of them had little choice but to accept the training to become spies. Then, Hyouka put her gun away and told Hiyato that she would finish things with him next time. Also, she revealed that living in the shared house was the first time she felt like she had friends. She had enjoyed her time with him too. Hiyato was concerned that she was going to face John Bider and deal with the problem herself. He was torn between saving her and letting two foreign spies take each other out. Then, he got a call from the chief.

She revealed that John Bider was a known smuggler who was connected with the Rus and the Mafia. He was dangerous and she wanted him taken care of. That was just what Hiyato wanted to hear. He arrived just in time as Bider had beat Hyouka and stripped her to reveal any weapons she might have. She had C4 in her shoe, a gun on her hip, and a knife in her bra. Hiyato quickly took care of his minions, but Bider was proving to be a much tougher opponent. Then, another boat appeared. Bider was expecting reinforcements, but instead, they were both shocked to see Seraphy sailing past, the bodies hidden out of sight. Hiyato used that to take his shot with the Asura Bullet, however, Bider survived, landing on another boat before disappearing into the night. He got away, but there would be another chance to catch him. There always was.

Soon after, Hyouka moved into the shared house permanently, much to everyone’s surprise. Seraphy made Hyouka an offering in the hopes that she wouldn’t reveal that she was a spy to anyone. Hiyato came to her soon after to ask the same thing. She was shocked that everyone was so self-assured about their secrets.

What did you think?

The largest part of this volume was focused on Hiyato saving Hyouka from John Bider and that was a lot of fun. Their fight was epic, leaving Hyouka to wonder just who Bider really was. He’s definitely more than just some smuggler, that’s for sure. I liked that Hyouka has become the person stuck in the middle. She knows that Hiyato and Seraphy are spies and they know she knows, but for some crazy reason, they all still think no one else knows. I think I’m going to find Hyouka’s exasperation with the situation to be very entertaining. Of course, they couldn’t let her leave, so moving her into the house is the only reasonable solution, but will she be the last spy to move in? I don’t think so.

The rest of the volume saw Hiyato go to a tropical island to complete a mission to seduce the wife of a major player in the Franc Republic’s aerospace industry. He’s got a lot of sordid secrets that they are keen to unearth, plus he’s meeting with John Bider so they could take care of several things at once. The chief has come along on this mission, with the husband her target. Together they will split them up and seduce them to get what they want. Sounds easy! If only things were easy for Hiyato. This series continues to be wildly entertaining and while I have to wait for the next volume to be released, I will be sure to grab it as soon as it is available (June 2025).

What was your highlight?

So, Hiyato was about to begin his mission to seduce the wife, a former ballerina when he bumped into Seraphy. What was she doing there? She also didn’t have a reservation so asked if she could stay with him. He was on a mission, but couldn’t possibly say no to her. Then, as she tried to seduce him by asking him to apply sunscreen to her, Maria showed up and jumped in between them. Well, of course, Emily had also booked the cottage next door but was stunned to find the others there. Then, once Hiyato had finally gotten away from the others, he bumped into Hyouka who was doing a propaganda piece for Ceres. Soon, they were all fighting about who would stay with Hiyato and that meant a volleyball match, although Emily had Dorothy, her maid step in for her.

The volleyball match was vicious and brutal, but Maria made the most of her defeat by somehow shedding her bikini and landing on top of Hiyato in a wonderfully contrived sexy accident. I knew we hadn’t seen the last of those. Anyhow, this was a ridiculously brilliant way to make Hiyato’s life even more complicated, especially as he’s on a mission and has the chief to answer to. My initial thoughts after seeing the wife is that she is also a spy and will end up moving into the Shared House. I’m also waiting to see if the chief moves in too, which wouldn’t be a bad thing. She’s almost as hot as Maria. Anyhow, This series is absurd, but in a wonderfully entertaining way and this was one of the most over-the-top segments yet.
