Length Really Matters! (Give it a Light Novel Title 2)
Back in the day anime had short and snappy titles like X or Astroboy, but now, they seem to want to give you the full synopsis. I blame Light Novels, but if you can’t beat them, join them!
So, this is my second post in the Give it a Light Novel Title tag and frankly, I’m looking for any excuse to do more. It really is fun trying to condense the essence of a series into a Light Novel style title. If you want to see my first attempt at it, you can find my first post here. For this one, I was nominated by Mia at 9 Tailed Kisune. If you have a spare moment, you should check out Mia’s blog, she has a ton of fun and informative posts for you to get through.
For this round, I’ve decided to use the first five entries in my A to Z Anime Challenge, so if I get more nominations, I will do more. Therefore, if you’re stuck for bloggers to nominate, just send it back here, I don’t mind in the slightest.
Rules
- Choose up to five anime, manga or visual novel series that have a short title
- Light novels that have shorter titles (Date A Live for example) are also allowed.
- Give these series a new title based on those classic overly long Light Novels we love!
- If someone has already picked a series you wanted. It’s OK! Let’s see your own take on the title!
- Link back to the original post so I can read people’s suggestions, I’d love to read everyone’s ideas.
- Include Give it a Light Novel title in your tags so everyone including myself can find them all easily.
- Nominate around 1-6 bloggers.
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero
This was a fun ecchi series that was ideal for switching the brain off and just having a laugh.

I love this series! That is all…
An Alien Cat-girl Slept Over and Now my House is an Intergalactic Embassy!
Dragonar Academy
This was a fun series, although I enjoyed the manga more.
I finally Hatched a Dragon, although She Looks like a Child and won’t Shut Up!
El Cazador de la Bruja
This series is excellent and I highly recommend it to everyone!

No worries. I think it’s a lot of fun.
Loved the one for Cat Planet Cuties!
Thanks. They’re fun to do and you could probably come up with a dozen for each show.
I feel like this process is a good thing to practice. I know I need to have a better elevator pitch for my stories and this seems to fit that idea.
