Shachibato! President, It’s Time for Battle! (Episode 10) – Corporate Warrior

Minato is keen to hit another dungeon and keep the money rolling in, but when he suggests it only Yatoria is interested! It turns out the others all have things to do, so I guess it’s just going to be the two of them.
What happened?
After finding out about Yatoria’s time as the fighter in a party where she earnt the nicknames Destroyer Yatoria and The Grim Reaper, Minato decides to go as a pair and clear a dungeon. Bizarrely, everyone else has plans, but I can smell a setup! Sure enough, the others all go for lunch and discuss how they hope that Minato and Yatoria get closer as a result. Meanwhile, in the dungeon, Minato gets to see first hand just how deadly Yatoria is. It’s a little terrifying and kind of hot! Anyhow, they take their Rare Earth back to the office and start on the paperwork, but then Yatoria faints and Minato looks after her. They end up spending the night at the office, but don’t worry, Minato kept his suit on!

What did you think?
This episode was cute. I can’t think of another word that would sum it up any better, although the two cats on the rooftops was a little odd… It was nice to see Minato and Yatoria getting to spend some time together as they are the obvious ship, despite how cool Guide and Akari are. I had to laugh every time Minato went to say Yatoria’s old nicknames and she just gave him the death stare. However, the funniest thing was once Yatoria told Minato that she would let him have half the bed and we see them lying there, both in their full outfits. Does Minato sleep in a tie and jacket? Well, it certainly seems that way. The best moment was the cliffhanger at the end of the episode. The next episode should be interesting.

What have you learnt?
I like the way they’ve worked on the relationships in this series. Minato had an episode that was split between Guide and Akari and it left him thinking which one he liked better… hold on, isn’t he the president of the company? Better get HR on the phone! Haha! That poor management decision aside, I like how it’s focused on his thoughts on the situation and not made them all chasing him, which we saw in this episode as they set the two of them up. It’s definitely made the most likely outcome to be my favourite.
