With finals coming up, Takamine offers to buy Shirota a Christmas present if he scores ten points above average on all of the exams. Thanks to her tuition, he’s quite confident. However, getting her a present is not nearly as simple.

What happened?
Shirota is excited for winter and has almost completely forgotten about the upcoming finals. Of course, Takamine reminds him and manages to put his firmly in his place while doing so. However, she comes up with a bit of motivation. If he scores ten points above average she will get him a Christmas present. That means that he will have to get her one too, regardless of how well he does. If he fails, he will be appropriately penalised, and Takamine has something sadistic in mind…
When finals begin, Shirota realises that he’s run out of lead for his pencil. Not only that but as he panics to try to fix things, he rips his test paper. Then, Takamine activates her Eternal Virgin Road and winds time back to the beginning of the test. She tells him to stop distracting her from her test. However, when he looks down, he sees an unopened pack of lead. After the exam, he goes with Takamine to a secluded area to replace her panties. However, as he does so, he notices a number of study questions taped to her body in very secluded places. She makes him answer them before proceeding. The answers may even come in handy.
Amazingly, Shirota achieved the target set by Takamine and as a result she took him out to look for Christmas presents. However, Shirota feels guilty asking her for anything after everything she’s done for him. Takamine insists and, as usual, makes it into a way to constantly tease Shirota. On Christmas eve, Takamine tells him to come to her house to exchange presents. When he gets there, he’s surprised to see that she has fully decorated. Now, he’s not sure his present will live up to her expectations, especially after she gave him a card that would reverse their roles for one hour. How will she react?

It was another fantastic volume of Please Put Them On Takamine-san. I am fully invested in their relationship, and it was amazing to see some cracks appearing in Takamine’s domineering persona. She was obviously delighted with the thoughtful present that Shirota got him and equally surprised when he hugged her. Of course, she was hoping he might have finally taken the initiative and was about to make a move. Sadly, he wasn’t but she doesn’t make it easy for him.
I almost died laughing when she fell on Shirota’s face without panties on. How he didn’t realise what happened, I’ll never know, but it also showed us how Takamine’s isn’t as bold as she likes to make out. We’ve seen her get flustered a couple of times now, and each time it gets a little bit cuter. The visit to the shrine for New Year was also fantastic, especially as they ran into Eri, who was wishing for boobs… Takamine’s wish was that Shirota got his wish, and while she wants him to go to the same college as her (which was his wish), I think she also hoped that he might have wished for a chance with her, but then I think it seems so out of reach to him at present.
I’ve mentioned before that I think Takamine has been in love with Shirota since they were childhood friends. Sadly, he doesn’t remember her, but she has never forgotten him. Then, when she gained her powers, she dedicated herself to being incredible, most likely so that she could get whoever she wanted, even if she only actually wanted Shirota. So, here’s a completely crazy idea. What if this isn’t the first time Takamine has gone through school. What if she’s walked this path many, many times and each time, she has failed to end up with Shirota? That would be an insane ending to the series if we saw the countless ways that she lost him, and if it explained the way she behaves.
