When the power finally comes back on, Takane Takamine makes Koushi Shirota pretend to be newlyweds with a forfeit for the one who breaks character, but is she taking things too far? Then, a visit to a university makes them both thoughtful of the future!

What happened?
Shirota was staying at Takamine’s house since there was a huge storm and it just knocked out the power. Luckily, it came back on so Takamine decided to make some dinner. Shirota thanked her but was knocked back when she said she wasn’t making any for him, but she could if they played a little game. They would have to pretend to be newlyweds and if either of them broke character they would have to pay a price. Shirota wasn’t sure about this but what could he say – he had no authority. Takamine went to the kitchen first and told Shirota to follow in a little while as if he was coming home from work. When he entered the kitchen, he found Takamine cooking in just an apron. After forcing her to put on some panties, he tried to help her cook but was still too distracted.
After eating, Shirota said that he would like to have a bath. Of course, Takamine told him that ninety percent of newlyweds bathed together… That was too much for Shirota, so she eased off… a little. As he showered before his bath, she entered the room in a towel and told him that she would wash his back. She called it preparation for when she is married. He wasn’t sure. Then, she whipped off her towel and revealed a micro-bikini… as if that was any less exciting. Shirota tried to keep his mind clear as she began to wash his back. Then, she made him turn around so she could wash his hair too. There was no way he was going to be able to stay calm at this rate. Then, as she brushed his ears, he jumped up and raced into the bathtub. Takamine took a moment, but soon realised what had happened and decided to leave him be. Before bed, however, she crawled on top of him and asked if he understood what she meant to him. Obviously, she was his superior!
Takamine’s next mission for Shirota was to accompany her to a university open day at a very prestigious school. As they walked around, she asked him what his plans for the future were and if he had even considered it. He said that he wasn’t sure, although he was probably going to get a job to repay his family and help his sister go to university. Takamine was surprised by his response and suddenly eased off with the teasing. That ended in the lecture hall when Takamine decided that she wanted to redo a question and took off her panties. Then, she made Shirota put on a new pair there and then. It’s his job after all! The day after their visit, Takamine seemed to be completely off her game, forgetting all sorts of things and making a mess. Then, just as Shirota was starting to worry, she removed her panties and redid the entire day as if nothing had happened.
Shirota was still worrying about how the fact that they might not go to the same university had impacted Takamine so decided to enrol in a cram school. As he went in, he bumped into a tall girl with short blonde hair. She seemed to recognise him and soon he realised why. Eri had been his close friend in elementary school. He had barely changed, but she was now an amateur model with a number of jobs under her belt. She too was attending the cram school and was excited to rekindle their friendship. So much so, that she suggested they go to the park they used to play in and have a water balloon fight. The loser would buy ice creams for them both. Unfortunately, the fight never got going as Eri overfilled her balloon and got her top wet. However, she wasn’t wearing a bra, so she wasn’t worried. Shirota was so he ran to buy a towel and some ice cream. As they talked, Eri dripped some ice cream on Shirota’s neck and then leaned in to lick it off. Of course, that was when Takamine happened to have appeared and was surprised by what she saw!
What did you think?
Spectacular. I have absolutely fallen for Takamine and her insane games. It’s so completely obvious that she is in love with Shirota that Eri could tell within seconds of meeting her. However, Shirota still hasn’t got a damn clue! Seriously, what has she got to do to get him to step up? He must realise it’s more than her just teasing him. She video-phoned him in crotchless panties and an open bra. She washed his back and wore just an apron to cook him a meal. It’s almost hilarious how dense he is, however, I do like that he accidentally says things that impress her enough to make her ease off on the teasing/flirting. I still believe that she has been incredibly lonely in her pursuit of perfection and is a little awkward as a result. However, there’s no denying that she likes him.
So, in the third volume, we were introduced to Eri and I think this is going to be the beginning of something wonderful. The fact that Eri is a beautiful tomboy with absolutely no boundaries is going to leave Takamine with no choice but to increase her attempts to get Shirota to remember their past together and finally realise that she likes him and that he likes her. I’m excited to see just how ridiculously that plays out because her attempts so far haven’t exactly been tame. After just three volumes, I can easily say that I love this series and luckily, I already have the next five volumes to get through, and who knows how many more will come after that. Anyhow, this is a blast. If you enjoy awkward and oblivious romance then I think you’ll love this series as much as I do.
