What happened?
During another lonely lunch, Shirota slipped into the gym storeroom for some quiet time. However, his meal was interrupted by the door opening. At first, he thought he was going to get into trouble, but then he noticed that it was the Student President, Takane Takamine. She was the perfect student, acing every single exam and excelling at every sport. Takamine was basically his opposite. So, what was she doing in the gym storeroom? Then, she started to unfasten her shirt. Shirota was shocked to see that she wasn’t wearing a bra. That seemed a bit brazen for someone so accomplished. Anyhow, he tried to avoid peeping, but he couldn’t resist. After all, it’s not every day that you see the hottest girl in school’s boobs!
Once she had finished changing, Takamine left unaware that Shirota had seen her. He went to his next class, still shaken by what happened. Then, to his surprise, he passed his math exam. However, even more shocking was the fact that Takamine only scored ninety-eight. She asked if there had been a mistake. There hadn’t been. So, Takamine stood up and removed her panties. Shirota was stunned and then everything changed. He heard his teacher calling his name to collect his exam score. Had it been a dream? He passed with the same score. Maybe it wasn’t a dream. Then, Takamine’s result was announced – yet another perfect score!

Shirota felt like something very strange had just happened, however, he couldn’t quite work out what. Then, for some bizarre reason, he found himself knocking on the Student Council office to ask Takamine about it. He told her that he was sure she got a ninety-eight and not another perfect score. She closed the door and told him to sit down. Then, she revealed that she had the ability to change her past by removing her underwear. When she did that, her underwear was taken as the cost of the change, which meant that she went through a lot of underwear and was constantly going to secluded places to put more on. She realised that he must have seen her boobs which is why he remembers the things before the change.
This was too much for Shirota and even a demonstration of her powers that left her with a wet shirt and no bra wasn’t enough to convince him. Regardless, she wanted him to help her by becoming her “Closet”. He would stay near to her and replace her underwear after each change. If she didn’t have any underwear on, she couldn’t change anything, so the sooner he put new ones on her the better. Shirota refused and went to leave. However, Takamine stopped him and caused him to fall on top of her. Then, she screamed. Several more students came running and then called the police. Shirota’s life was about to be ruined. However, there was one option. Become Takamine’s closet and she would make it so that she never screamed. He agreed. What choice did he have?

What did you think?
I think I’d seen a couple of pages from this series online over the past year or so, but never really given it much thought. Then, when I read the blurb on the back of the book while browsing my local bookstore, I knew that I had to have it. A girl who could alter time by removing her underwear! I love a good time travel story, and who doesn’t love underwear? I mean pretty much everyone wears it so it must be popular. Anyhow, I was not in the least bit prepared for how dark this series got when Takamine falsely accused Shirota of sexually assaulting her so that he would agree to become her closet. Then, she forced him to put a new pair of panties on her in the middle of class. Takamine continuously pushes Shirota’s boundaries and it’s actually pretty funny and even quite tense at times.
All that said, I think there’s much more to Takamine than this domineering perfectionist. I think that her pursuit of perfection has left her isolated and lonely. I don’t think she has any real friends and doesn’t have anyone that she can talk normally with. There’s a part of me that thinks she’s also using her powers to find a way to bring Shirota into her life, especially given the brief flashback where we saw them as childhood friends. I think she has always liked him, but never felt like she could tell him which is a fairly classic childhood friend quality in manga, and sadly, they rarely get together. Only this time, she might actually pull it off…
