When Momo Ayase stepped in to stop some bullies, she never expected to get into a fight with their target. He believes in UFOs. She doesn’t. She believes in spirits. He doesn’t. They challenge each other to see who is right.

What happened?
Momo went to a location notorious for UFO sightings, expecting to find nothing. Meanwhile, she sent him to investigate a dark tunnel, known for its mysterious sightings. They updated one another over the phone, but then he saw something. An elderly lady appeared before him and offered to let him “suck on her teets” if she could “gobble his schlong”. He turned and ran, despite Momo telling him not to. That was Turbo Granny and if she got in front of him, she would curse him. The phone went dead, but Momo had her own problems to deal with. Three strange figures appeared before her before grabbing her and stripping her to her underwear.
She woke up, strapped to a table inside a UFO. Her attackers claimed to be aliens from another world who had lost the ability to reproduce. So, they were going to impregnate her and then take her “womb and banana organs” back to their planet. Of course, she wasn’t too keen on the idea and tried to resist. They used their psychokinesis powers to ease her mind, but that didn’t help. Then, just as they were about to begin, Momo’s phone rang. The aliens answered it and were surprised when an elderly woman burst through the phone and gobbled their schlongs…
The aliens tried to restrain Momo further with more psychokinesis powers, but that awakened a mysterious power within her. She was able to throw the aliens with her mind and then turned her attention to the schlong-gobbling old lady. After restraining her, the elderly lady pulled away from the boy’s body and told her to come to her tunnel if she ever wanted to get his schlong back. Until then, he would remain cursed. After they escaped from the UFO, Momo learned that the boy’s name was Ken Takakura! He shared the same name as her movie crush. Since that wouldn’t do, she decided to name him Okuran and offered to help him. If nothing else, her grandmother was a spirit medium and might know what to do.
The problems continued as Okuran would turn into the cursed form if Momo took her eyes off him for even a second. That made changing and using the bathroom particularly troubling. Then, they were attacked by another alien who was there to collect Momo’s organs. Okuran used his cursed powers to fight back, but it was Momo who won the day by creating an opening that allowed her to reactivate the barrier protecting her family home. However, Turbo Granny wasn’t ready to let them go. If they didn’t go see her that night, she would start killing people. Well, at least we can all agree that aliens and spirits both exist!
What did you think?
This book was hilarious. There were so many brilliant moments that I just couldn’t stop laughing. Even things like Okuran’s real name being the same as Momo’s crush. It was obvious as it was happening, but that seemed to make it even funnier. The way they were both attacked by spirits and aliens at the same time was insane. Did I say that this series was funny? I loved that the spirit they encountered was so bizarre and that Okuran subdued her by sucking on her teets. The foreshadowing is incredible because it’s so obvious about it, but it can be because the idea of that happening is so out there.
One of my favourite moments was when we first met Momo’s grandmother. We just saw her out an idol on TV for having a family, being much older than he says he was, and liking curry. However, at no point, would I have expected her to look so young. In fact, she couldn’t have been more than forty based on her appearance. The standard has been set for anything and everything to happen and anything that you expect to happen to happen in an unexpected manner. I love how I’m going to find myself second-guessing everything going forward while also expecting my first impression to come to be. This series is going to be a lot of fun!
