Michio brings Roxanne home and then takes her shopping in preparation for the labyrinth. They’ll head out first thing in the morning which will give them a night to get to know one another!

What happened?
At the inn, Michio asks for a larger room. The innkeeper suggests one with a double, however, Michio didn’t realise that meant a double bed. He was expecting twins… apparently… Anyhow, once they are in the room, Michio notices that Roxanne wasn’t wearing any shoes. It turns out that she doesn’t own any so he gives her his. He was worried they wouldn’t fit, but in this world, equipment adapts to the user. There are a number of other things that Roxanne is going to need so they go shopping.
Roxanne is not one to jump at a purchase and takes all the time she needs to fully assess which shield, which cloak, or which leather armour she would like. Michio doesn’t mind in the slightest, he’s just happy to be able to spend time with her. Once they have everything they need, they head back to the inn. Roxanne inspects his equipment and decides to do some maintenance. Since she bought new undergarments, she would use her old ones as a rag to oil his sword (not a metaphor, I promise…)
Later, the innkeeper delivers some hot water to the room so that they can wash before bed. Michio asks Roxanne to wash his back and then offers to do hers. He’s surprised to realise that baths are not terribly common here but at least with Roxanne, she can wash his hair. Of course, he returns the favour. Once they are all clean, they climb into bed…
What did you think?
Not much happened in this episode at all. In fact, most of it was spent with Michio and Roxanne washing one another and then going to bed together. Now, considering Michio just bought Roxanne there are obviously a number of fairly creepy moments and I can’t help but wonder how much better he might have come off if he waited and allowed things to happen naturally. At least, he wasn’t a complete scumbag and make her sleep on the floor.
It’s going to be interesting to see how things progress from here and I’m looking forward to getting back into the labyrinth and seeing some action. I mean Roxanne is stunning and there’s plenty to enjoy, however, I can’t shake this uncomfortable feeling. So, let’s go to the labyrinth and murder some monsters, maybe even some more bandits to make us feel better about the world…
On a more positive note, I am loving the ED for this series. It reminds me a lot of the ED from Interspecies Reviewers and has a very catchy tune.
