What happened?

Apparently, Akiho’s father used it too much and now needs to go to the hospital so she can’t meet up with Haruka. He understands and sends his well-wishes to her father. What’s he going to do now? Luckily, he bumps into Shizuku who takes him shopping. They get lunch and even go watch a movie. Then, on the way home, Shizuku invites him over for dinner since her parents are away… Haruka is worried about how lonely she must be so agrees. However, not long after arriving, Shizuku ends up with her wrists handcuffed behind her back and her ankles cuffed together. Since Haruka can’t find the key, he’s going to have to cook, help her got to the bathroom, brush her teeth… etc…

The next day, they have a cooking competition at school and Akiho overhears Shizuku and Haruka talking about it. She decides she will cook him a box for lunch to make up for missing her date. Then, she hears Shizuku say she’ll make him one too and now it’s a full competition. Unfortunately, Akiho can’t cook. She burns her rolled egg and kills Rina when she asks her to try it. Then, she refuses to give it to Akiho, but he’s insistent, saying that he wants to eat her box…

Just incredible. This was an absolute innuendo-fest and everyone was funnier than the last one. I can’t believe he told her he wanted to eat her box. The voice actors must have been dying while recording this. I was glad to see Shizuku get some time with Haruka and the lengths she went to was spectacular. Even when she got caught with the key in her pocket, she managed to turn that into a way to tease Haruka. That guy doesn’t know how lucky he is.

It was also a bit of a bummer. Shizuku is the childhood friend that is destined to lose to the new and exciting girl. Now, I like Akiho. She’s great, but this episode really highlighted that it must be hard for Shizuku to see him and Akiho getting close. It almost felt like they had to add an extended bit after the ED to make up for that moment when Shizuku walked away with two boxes… I just want them all to be happy!
