Michio and Roxanne continue to attack both labyrinths in an attempt to gain MP which will come in handy when Michio’s latest purchase arrives. That’s right, he’s ordered a custom-built bathtub!

What happened?

Despite the overcrowded situation in the Quratar labyrinth, Michio is surprised to discover that no one has defeated the top level. That said, we recently learnt that they are alive so presumably defeating the top boss would kill the labyrinth. Anyhow, they make steady progress up the floors taking on bosses of all types and strengths. For a moment, Michio let his guard down and was put to sleep by one boss. Luckily, Roxanne was able to protect him until he woke up.

Michio used his healing magic to restore Roxanne before taking on the giant ram. There was no way he was going to let anything happen to her. Once they’d defeated the boss, they headed home and arrived just in time to take possession of Michio’s custom-built bathtub. It was massive! Luckily, Michio had filled up his MP so that he could heat up the water needed to fill the bathtub. Now, it was time to try it out. Even Roxanne was excited.

To make things even more special, Michio used his other skills to produce soap. Now they could really get clean… or dirty depending on your point of view! All hail, the bathtub!

What did you think?

Firstly, I’m a big fan of hot pool/beach episodes and this neatly landed in the hot pool category. Sorry, did I say neatly landed? What I meant to say was that it dominated that category. The addition of Michio’s homemade soap took things to another level entirely. And, to make things even hotter, the chemistry between Michio and Roxanne was spot on. I said it in the last episode and I’ll say it again, I think they make a great couple. I really want to believe that she likes him as much as he likes her… if only she wasn’t a slave!

I mentioned earlier how I believe that killing the top boss would destroy the labyrinth and since the knights are making a fortune selling admission and maps, I can’t help but wonder if they would stop someone from defeating the boss. It certainly wouldn’t be in their interests. There are a lot of very subtle details in this series that make it quite a fascinating fantasy world. Of course, it’s hard for them to compete with a steaming hot bath and soapy bubbles. What I’m saying is that if you aren’t paying attention you could easily miss them. No, no. Not the bath, there’s no way you’d miss that!
