Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World (Episode 8) – New Home
What happened?
Michio returned to Quratar to purchase a wand and decided that it would be a nice place to live permanently. It would be nice to have a place all of their own where they wouldn’t have to worry about making too much noise… So, they began the search and were soon looking at a large house in the countryside. Roxanne did her best to get them a good offer, although Michio was concerned about the special concrete that shielded the walls from teleportation spells.
Rather unsurprisingly, Michio’s warps spell is different and he can still use it in his house. Roxanne was surprised for a moment and then seemed to accept it as she does all of his quirks. They rented the house for a very reasonable amount and arranged for some furniture. It would take a day to get it all together so they returned to the inn for one last night.
The following day, they went to their new home and started to prepare for their new life. Roxanne went about cleaning the place while Michio visited the labyrinth and was shocked to see just how busy it was. There would be some fierce competition for monsters and drops. He returned home, happy that he at least didn’t have to pay the entrance fee anymore. The furniture had been delivered so they jumped into bed and enjoyed their first night in their new home.

What did you think?
Once more, this show has shown us that the whole slave premise was entirely unneeded. There was any number of ways that Michio and Roxanne’s lives could have become entangled and still had the same result. The most frustrating thing about it is that I completely buy into them as a couple. I think they are great together, but there will always be this air of doubt as to whether Roxanne is actually in love with him or whether she feels compelled to be. For me, that spoils the romance.
They act like a couple, complimenting one another. It will be interesting to see if Roxanne ever actually disagrees with him about something and whether she would be willing to bring it up. In fact, the more I think about it the more annoyed I get. This series would have been really good without the slavery angle. I’m still enjoying it, but it will always be something that sits at the back of my mind. Of course, there are still lots of questions that I hope to have answered although I very much doubt they will all be dealt with this season. Will there be a second season? I don’t know but I would watch it!
