Masters of the Universe: Revelation (Episode 10) – Comes with Everything You See Here

What happened?

Teela entered the pool and appeared to be ready to give up everything. But then, the Sorceress appeared before her and seemed to convince Teela to not go through with it. She hoped that her daughter would have a different life than the one she had. However, that just seemed to convince Teela that she could do it, but she would do it on her terms.

Skeletor and Adam continued to keep Evil-Lyn busy while the forces of Eternia battle Scare-Glow and the Shadow Beast army outside. But then, something strange happened. A red scarf danced in the air, helping numerous people in numerous locations. It was Orko. He too had returned from Subternia with Scare-Glow and seemed to have found his true potential.

Teela eventually appeared before Evil-Lyn as the new Sorceress which amused Evil-Lyn to no end. All she had to do was fly outside the castle and Teela wouldn’t be able to get her. However, Teela was unlike any sorceress before her. She was a cross between a champion and a sorceress. She took the fight outside and battled Evil-Lyn across the skies and into the void.

Their battle took them to the place Evil-Lyn saw where the creator was killed. However, this time, it wasn’t over when the bird fell into the lake. This time, it burst forth like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Teela and Evil-Lyn fought, but eventually, Evil-Lyn realised her mistake and relinquished the power.

Teela brought her back to Eternia where He-Man had just tossed Skeletor beyond the horizon. The Shadow Beasts were sucked back into Subternia. Even Orko was to go with them, but Evil-Lyn caught his hand. She wasn’t going to fail him this time.

What did you think?

This episode was quite the big finish for the season. The battles were excellent, especially the one between Teela and Evil-Lyn. I liked that it ended when Evil-Lyn realised how she had been manipulated and misguided in her beliefs. It was even better that she then got the chance to save Orko. I also loved that Teela was not exactly the Sorceress. She was, but it was on her terms. Her version of the Sorceress.

It’s funny. I commented earlier in the season about whether He-Man was a magical girl and these last few episodes have pretty much confirmed it. Teela, Evil-Lyn, Skeletor, and Adam all showed that they have an alternate form when they accept the power and it definitely feels like a magical girl transformation. Anyhow, this was a good ending to the series, however, I felt like the end of episode tease for next season almost outshone everything before it!

Masters of the Universe Revelation Episode 10 Teela versus Evil Lyn

What have you learnt?

Skeletor was back at Snake Mountain and was ripping into Tri-Klops and Trap-Jaw. They told him that it was Motherboard that made them do it. Skeletor looked at the idol and fire a blast at it. The statue blocked his attack and then transformed into a giant mechanic woman. The believers grabbed Skeletor and held him as he was infected with the same techno virus as the others. That was when the Hordak logo became visible on Motherboard.

I felt like the whole magic versus technology theme was going to be much more prevalent in the series so I’m glad that they at least seem to be going that way with the next season, should it ever happen. It was quite the exciting finish, especially after seeing Andra become the new Man-at-Arms, Teela and Adam committing to work together, and Evil-Lyn showing up in Trolla looking like a priestess. I look forward to seeing if this series continues.
