What happened?

Seiichi and Saria found Artoria as the Black Dragon God was about to finish her off. She was badly wounded and in need of attention. Luckily, Seiichi had some potions handy. He passed one to Saria so that she could look after Artoria while he took care of the Black Dragon God. Although, that wasn’t going to be easy, especially as his level is more than 5000!

During the fight, Seiichi managed to achieve a number of skills that ultimately turned the tide in his favour, He emerged victorious, but upon learning the dragon’s past, he was a little sad and remorseful. Regardless, they now had the power to get home. When they arrived at the guild, Artoria was surprised to learn that everyone was worried about them and were preparing to find them.

Artoria ran off believing that she was a burden to those around her, especially as her negative two million luck rating impacted everyone close to her too. Seiichi ran to find her and when he did, he hugged her, telling her that he would stay with her forever. Then, he remembered the ring from the dungeon that multiplied the wearer’s luck by negative two. Could this save Artoria?

I liked that they actually took a little time to foreshadow things here with Seiichi finding the ring in the previous episode and wondering why anyone would wear it. Admittedly, it was completely obvious as soon as we saw Artoria’s luck stats, but nice all the same. It was funny that Seiichi appeared to accidentally propose to Artoria. She pushed him away and ran off, but she seemed to be quite happy with the situation, especially the change in her fortune.
