What happened?

Noir and Emma were accepted into the hero academy and then they earned their tuition fees. Now, it’s time to start learning. However, the first day is not without its issues. All the students are required to wear a pin to signify their level of nobility. This puts Noir on the back foot, to begin with, but then the highest-ranking student talks to him.

It was quite the surprise, but not nearly as surprising as the curse that had been cast on her. It was the sixteen-year curse which would kill her on her sixteenth birthday and that was in a couple of weeks. Noir looked at how many LP he would need to remove the curse and it was way more than he had.

With that in mind, they started their first training session with a former mercenary called Elna Stong. When she asked Noir to step forward for a demonstration, he checked out her stats and was blown away by how strong she was. Then she hit him. Her goal was to teach them a move called back step which instantly got them out of harm’s way.

To make things more interesting, anyone that could learn it in this session would get a special prize from her… it was going to be a little naughty too. Noir checked his editor skill and was able to give himself the ability just as she attacked again. Of course, he was not there, having stepped back. She was shocked, but not as shocked as the other students when she gave him his prize and sat on him…

After some more training, Maria fainted from the pain inflicted by the curse. Noir checked with the Great Sage on a way to get LP fast. The Great Sage suggested he line up all the girls and then run along the line slapping their boobs as he went by. It was worth two thousand LP which wasn’t enough, not that he was going to do it anyway. Finally, Noir went to the guild to see if Lola could help. She knew a cleric, but it wasn’t as simple as that…

What did you think?

This was another fun episode. You have to go into this show expecting it to be silly because that’s the best way to enjoy it. There really isn’t that much in the way of stakes as Noir has the OP abilities that make anything possible, although the fun part is watching him accumulate LP. That said, he’s struggling to find enough LP to save Maria, but I’d argue he’s not really trying hard enough. Plus, if that’s the best idea Great Sage can come up with he’s drunk! Go home, Great Sage!

I’m already a big fan of Elna and her butt massages. Fair play, Noir giving himself shoulder massage skills so that he can get more of Elna’s special reward. There’s just no reason he couldn’t get more LP than he could ever need if he just applied himself. Come on, Noir, you’ve got to up your game. I’m sure Emma will help in any way needed…
