What happened?

Noir watched in horror as harem after harem went out to face the spectators and each one was unceremoniously chased back out. These guys were mean! They seemed to enjoy belittling those who had been lucky enough to convince several girls to like them. Noir was fearful of how they might be treated.

Then, the worst possible thing happened. The second to last harem was a group from a rival adventurers’ guild and they were pretty damn good-looking. The crowd seemed to accept that, but that just made them more anxious to yell at the next harem which would be Noir’s group.

Luckily, Emma bounced out first and introduced herself. The spectators didn’t know what to do. They wanted to yell and hurl abuse at someone, but Emma is just too damn cute… and bouncy. Then, when Luna came out they almost lost their minds. Had the great cleric found a boyfriend? Finally, Lola came out and convinced half the crowd to sign up at her guild! They had an almost perfect score.

That alone, however, was not enough to win them the money. They needed to perform a series of challenges to prove they were the ultimate harem. First, they had to warm Noir which they did with their bodies. Then, they had to show how they would look after him if he had a cold. Finally, they had to prove that they were a harem so all three girls kissed him at the same time. That was the final straw. The spectators were furiously jealous of Noir, but they awarded them the prize and demanded they leave.

With the money needed to offset the curse, Noir made the changes to Luna’s skill. They arrived at Maria’s house on the eve of her sixteenth birthday. She was surprised to see them and her parents were shocked when they learned the cost to Luna had she cured Maria before. However, with the new skill, she was able to lift the curse and save the day. Of course, it was Noir gaining another new admirer or two that caused the most commotion!

What did you think?

This episode was amazing. I laughed all the way through, even though I know I shouldn’t have. The spectators at the event were hilarious, however, had this been anything but an anime it would have probably been quite disturbing. Luckily, that’s not the vibe this show is going for, so it was brilliant. I knew this was going to be a good one, but this episode blew my expectations away.

Now, that Maria is cured and also has a crush on Noir, things are going to get even more interesting, especially for his poor sister and Emma and Lola who were the original girls vying for his affection. Not to mention Luna who has also confessed her feelings. And what of Elna? Will she get to sit on Noir again? There are so many questions and none of them are really that important, but I can’t wait to find out anyhow!
