I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet (Volume 7) – The Cat That Got the Cream!

To their surprise, Lily and Feri decided to return to Labyrinthos with them, determined to repay them for saving them from Leis. Unfortunately, that meant their room in the inn was about to get a bit crowded!
I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet (Volume 7) – The Cat That Got the Cream!
What happened?
Vulcan greeted them on their return and was stunned to see their new fairy friends. She also told them that everyone was excited to see them after word spread of their deeds in Gladstone. Anna even had something special for them, but not before they apologised for putting them in danger in the first place. Had they not recommended them for the job with Leis it might never have happened. Of course, Aria didn’t mind and Stella couldn’t care less. Anyhow, he handed them a small box. Inside were their new adventurer tags. Stella had been promoted to a B-rank and Aria was now an A-ranked adventurer. To celebrate their amazing work and the promotions, the guild held a massive feast, much to Stella, Feri, and Lily’s delight.
After one night in their two-bed room with five girls and a cat (Vulcan stayed over again), Aria decided that they needed to get a house. She was an A-ranked adventurer now with a party to think about so it made perfect sense. The retailer was delighted to be assisting an A-ranked adventurer and took them to see some lovely places. They settled on a cute house just outside of the town with an outdoor bath and plenty of greenery. However, Feri wanted to know if she could add some trees to make them feel more at home. No one expected her to raise a World Tree or Lily to create a Life Springs. Both are treasured items and as such, they needed to keep their existence a secret. Not to mention that Feri was actually a High Dryad and Lily a High Pixie. Things just got a little more complicated. Anyhow, it wasn’t long before Anna came to them with another quest – higher-ranking monsters were appearing on the upper floors of the dungeon and people were getting hurt and even killed. Aria swore to take care of it.

What did you think?
So, the girls now have a house to call their own with a World Tree and a Life Springs. The World Tree makes things grow incredibly well so should they want to plant a garden, then they should be without want of food. Apparently, it also produces high-quality minerals in the ground beneath it. If only they had a smith that could work with such rare elements. Vulcan claims that she can’t but the hints are there for all to see. Vulcan is probably going to turn out to be another extremely rare find. This is continuing to be a lot of fun and I’m seeing a lot of similarities with Beast Tamer in the way the party is coming together and getting stronger and stronger.
Much like Beast Tamer, I think there will come a point where this party will be strong enough to take on something incredible. This feels like the stage of the story where everything is coming together. The party is growing stronger and more experienced with every adventure. Beast Tamer never got to the next stage, although the author hinted that something big was coming and that’s how I see this developing. I’ve said in the past that I really want there to be some large driving force, and I still believe that it will be best for the story, but I’m also enjoying the fun easygoing adventures of Aria and her friends.

What was your highlight?
Tama slipped out of their new home in the night so that he could test out some new skills in the labyrinth. To his surprise, Stella caught him and demanded to go with him. He had no reason to refuse her so let her tag along. Then, she picked him up and sat him between her boobs. He struggled which prompted her to pout and ask why he hated her. Again, he didn’t have an answer so allowed her to carry him like that. On their way into the labyrinth, they saw Danny and Howard who noticed that Tama with with Stella and not Aria. Then, Tama caught them staring at Stella’s chest and gave them a look that told them to back off.
In the labyrinth, Tama tried out his new skills and all were incredibly powerful. He had also gained the ability to evolve into a third form but didn’t know if he would be able to change back, so decided to keep it for when times were desperate. Stella overhead him talking about evolution and demanded that he evolved and mated with her there and then. Tama ran. He raced out of the labyrinth and past Danny and Howard with Stella running after him, still demanding he mate with her. My favourite part was that Danny and Howard looked at each other and agreed that they didn’t see anything as Tama was protected by the bro-code. Too funny!
