The second match in the East-West War is about to begin and Suruga already thinks they’ve won just by looking at their opponents. Kazane, however, has other ideas, but will it be enough? Suruga can’t afford to lose!

What happened?
Sugura’s coach, Ayako Sakashiro was disappointed to have lost the first game but was also confident that Seitouchi had used its strongest players. All they had to do now was turn up and defeat the second-stringers. Their opponents for this match were Atsuko Yoshida, Usagi Tsukishita, Non Toyoguchi, and Kazane Aoba, and none of them seemed to have it together. Non was wearing her uniform backwards and then Kazane’s device malfunctioned leaving Non to remove her uniform forceably. They were looking like a joke from the start. Then, Usagi raced forward and challenged their opponents, seemingly leaving her colleagues behind.
Sugura jumped on the chance to split them up and take them out one on one. Mai Itoeda intercepted Usagi and used her rhythm attacks to neutralise Usagi’s speed. Ayase Kurogiri utilised her “fairy powers” to make her butt even harder than Yoshida’s butt. Kei Higuchi split Non and Kazane up by taking Non on herself. That left Kazane to face Sugura’s top player in the match, Sanae Hououin. It didn’t take long for Kazane to get an understanding of each of their abilities, but she didn’t look like she would have a chance to act on that information. Then, she put her hand in the air and yelled. Yoshida and Usagi jumped into the air and then slammed their feet onto the land, tipping it violently and sending Kei and Mai into the water.
It had seemed like they were just waiting to be defeated, but Kazane’s plan had worked. They tricked Sugura into underestimating them and then struck when they least expected. Setouchi now had a four-against-two advantage. However, Sanae quickly reduced that advantage by one, sending Yoshida flying with a vicious twist of her hips. Sanae was going to be a massive problem for them to overcome. They also had Ayase to worry about. Luckily, Kazane had a plan. She asked Usagi and Non to wear Ayase down. Once she was tired, her “fairy” hypnosis wouldn’t work. She would face Sanae alone. They agreed and ran to fight Ayase.
Sanae believed that she had a clear advantage, but Kazen hit her with move after move, varying her technique and style with each attack. How could one player have such an arsenal of moves? Kazane had information on all of Seitouchi’s players and was able to call on it at a moment’s notice. Sanae was struggling and was forced to use her ultimate move which involved twisting her nipples and then allowing the spiral force to unwind on her opponent. Kazane now looked like she was going to lose, but Non appeared to back her up. They had worn down Ayase, although Usagi had to sacrifice herself to take Ayase out with her. Then, Sanae changed her attack at the last second and sent Non flying off the land. Kazane and Sanae clashed and both fell off the land. But who hit the water first?
What did you think?
It was yet another incredible match. I was disappointed that Kazane lost, especially as she had already suffered defeat when she was beaten by Mio in the class-change race. However, she absolutely did her school proud, as did the others. The way they tricked Sugura into thinking they were a group of bumbling misfits who wouldn’t stand a chance was amazing. It just would have been nice to see their coach fully eat humble pie because so far she is the worst character in the series. All the rivalries so far have been competitive but ultimately there was some respect there. Ayako has shown zero respect and no humility whatsoever.
The best moment in this episode was Kazane’s Gate of Bootylon move. I loved how they animated it like Gilgamesh’s Gates of Babylon from the Fate series. The fact that Kazane was standing there feeling up these imaginary butts and then stealing their power was hilarious. The flashback to when the Setouchi girls lined up to share their abilities was even funnier. And all the while, this was as deadly serious a match as I have seen. Even Sanae’s titty twister move was pulled off with straight faces everywhere. I can’t imagine how funny it must have been recording the voices for this show. Amazing. Anyhow, it’s time for the final match! Let’s get it on!
