What happened?

It was just another normal day at school. Youta was lost in a daydream as he absentmindedly stared at Nishina. He’d known her since they were both children, although now they don’t talk as much. Maybe, that’s why he stares at her… Then, he noticed something strange outside the school. There was a bizarre figure wearing a mask and a cloak, covered in blood. Before he could react, the figure was standing beside him inside the classroom. It grabbed him and jumped through the third-floor window, sending them both flying towards the ground.

However, Youta didn’t die. He woke up in a forest, startled and confused, but not injured. He checked his phone but there was no signal. It was dark and he was sure his father would be worried so he got up and headed towards some lights. Maybe it was a village. Then, when he emerged from the forest, he found himself staring at a castle on a mountain as dragons flew through the air around it. What was going on? A couple of voices came from the forest behind him. They were soon followed by a girl and a small bird. The girl asked if he was all right, but when Youta responded something strange happened.

She drew her sword and pointed it at Youta. The bird then spoke, confirming that Youta was a male. He apologised if he had caused any issues. He had no idea how he got there and was sorry if his presence upset her. Then, a slime fell from the tree above her, forcing Youta to pull her out of the way. She tensed up, pushing Youta away before her body reacted strangely. The bird, Genius told Youta that he was the first human male anyone had seen in three thousand years and that the women had evolved without the ability to resist a man’s touch. The girl, Rumi was overcome with the desire to mate. She lost control of all reason and forced herself on Youta.

What did you think?

I started reading this series back in 2019 online and was quickly sucked in. Then, the place I was reading it disappeared, and since there were no English translations of the manga, I had to forget about it for a while. Then, when they started to release them in English, I began to collect the books, knowing that I would have to finish this story because it was surprisingly interesting. As I re-read the first six volumes, I’m going to attempt to highlight things that I think will become important at some point in the future. I have eighteen volumes right now and I have no idea what happens after volume six so this should be fun trying to pick out things that matter.

The first thing to note is that this might seem like any teenage boy’s fantasy, being the only male in a world inhabited by only women who are helpless to resist you, but it very quickly shows that things are not as you might initially expect. Now, this is an erotica manga so it is quite graphic and one of the early things to note is the way women react to Youta’s touch or even his voice. We are quickly introduced to the Fountain of Desire which is an involuntary physiological response to Youta. As you might expect there are a lot of fluids coming from somewhere fairly obvious. This series does not hold back in that regard.

Anyhow, here are some things to remember as we work through this series. The castle where Youta saw the dragons is where the girls come from. They don’t know how they got there or even how they came out, but that seems like an important detail. Genius, the three-legged bird knows of Earth and instantly recognises that Youta is from there. He knows more than he’s told the girls, that’s for sure. For example, he revealed to Youta that any girl who reaches a certain age without having mated dies. Obviously, this is fairly common considering that there hasn’t been a male in three thousand years. Genius revealed that it’s a curse so Youta either has to sleep with everyone or kill the person who cursed the world.

Another important thing that I noticed was the mask worn by the figure who threw Youta out a window had the same button eyes that Rumi’s Youta pillow had. I’m excited to get to get back into this series as it’s a lot of fun but also full of twists and turns.
