Parallel Paradise (Volume 11) – A Duel to the Death!
What happened?
The farewells are a little more refined than last time when Rumi cried until they told her to go with him and the other girls pretty much broke down as soon as he left. In fact, there wasn’t even a leaving party, and those are always fun! Anyhow, Misaki had asked them to take Peko with them. She’s strong and capable but has no experience of the world outside of Meese Town. Yota isn’t sure since she hates him and tells him every chance she gets. Anyhow, Misaki found them a huge Bicorn to ride there. Peko, however, will have to ride on a unicorn since she’s still a virgin.
After a day’s ride, they set up camp and settled in for the night. Peko offered to keep watch and then wandered off, assured of her strength and ability to look after herself. However, she soon found herself surrounded by Karu. That just gave her a chance to test her new weapon – a four-bladed knife, ideal for killing Karu. She made quick work of them, but one got away and called for help. A giant Karu appeared and quickly restrained Peko. Then another punched her in the face, leaving her vulnerable to their main attack… Finally, Peko called for help. Yota came running and killed several Karu before the others ran off after seeing him.

In the morning, they discovered that the unicorn had run away leaving them with just the bicorn. Of course, the bicorn hated Peko and wouldn’t let her ride him. Since it would take too long to get there with her walking there was just one thing to do. Yota would have to mate with Peko, however, he appreciated that she didn’t want it so he offered to just stick it in and then pull out again. That would be enough for her to get the mark and the acceptance of the Bicorn. Peko agreed, assuring him that she wouldn’t like it anyhow. However, as soon as he touched her everything changed. After taking care of business, Yota walked away. Peko begged him to come back and finish things properly. He did. Rumi and Amane watched through the slit in the tent and then helped one another with their frustrations.
With that taken care of, they all climbed on the back of the bicorn and continued on their journey. After a while, they came across a horde of Gobluts chasing a little girl. Peko killed the Gobluts and offered to take the little girl to a nearby city. However, she would have to walk her there because of the bicorn and Yota was not about to go there. Rumi calmly told Peko that it wasn’t a good idea and that they needed to keep moving. Then, she nodded to Amane who thrust her sword into the little girl’s belly. It turned out that she was actually a ghoul looking to trick Peko into becoming her next meal. There was still a lot for her to learn!

Sometime later, they arrived at Sandrio and were shocked to see that a small army had gathered the girls up. Kazuchi and Vanille were restrained and brought before the commander. She demanded to know where the male was and revealed that she had been ordered by the Empress who lives in the Citadel to kill the male and anyone who mated with him. When Kazuhi wouldn’t tell her anything, she had three civilians with the mark brought forward. She beheaded one, forcing Kazuchi to talk.
Meanwhile, Yota decided to intervene, especially after the commander killed two more innocent girls. Luckily, Yota had a plan, especially as his sword wasn’t going to stand up to the commander’s powerful weapon. He demanded that they fight one-on-one, which she accepted. Before they began, Yota asked her to move her army back so that they didn’t try anything once he won. She agreed. Her first attack broke Yota’s sword in two. He apologised and then revealed that he had won. She didn’t understand what he meant until she noticed that he had been joined by Rumi and Peko. The commander turned to her army to order them to attack, but they had been cut off by the sandstorm that Amane had reactivated.

Then, Amane freed Kazuchi and Vanille. However, they were still not strong enough to stop the commander. Luckily, Yota had another plan. Rumi and Amane focused their attacks on a join in her armour, allowing them to reveal her breast. Yota rushed in and grabbed it. The fight was over. Her body caved under his touch, however, her mind was not so easily defeated. Regardless, she couldn’t fight. They restrained her in the dungeon and left Yota to take care of things. The plan was to get her aroused and then leave her. She would suffer the agony of never being satisfied.
Well, that was the plan. However, Nakta revealed that she had been ordered by the Empress to kill him and anyone who mated with him. She would never give up on that order as long as she was a subject of the Empress. Yota realised that if he mated with her she would no longer be a subject of the Empress and wouldn’t have to kill anyone. Seemed too simple. She agreed to another one-on-one. If she could resist his touch for one minute without moaning, he would leave her be. If she moaned, however, he would only mate with her if she begged him to. She lasted less than a second and she begged hard!

What did you think?
All right, we’re finally getting to the part where we’re going to look into the citadel. If you remember, it was the first structure Yota saw in this world and it had dragons flying around it. We also learned that this was where all the girls of this world came from, so it’s obviously going to be fairly pivotal in the story. The introduction of the Empress gives us another villain to move onto, although we’re still waiting to see what happens when Yota revives Nishina, but I guess that had to wait while Yota tortured Nakta, even if he did end up giving up on that in favour of solving every problem by mating.
In this volume, there were two girls who didn’t want to mate but then couldn’t resist as soon as it was offered to them. Seems like a reoccurring problem for Yota. However, we also learned about what happened the last time a male showed up, three thousand years ago. He made Yota seem like an angel. There were some nice fights and some intense action… if you know what I mean… of course, you do, this is Parallel Paradise. Anyhow, the plot thickens with the introduction of the Empress who Yota assumed to be a witch because she’s been around for three thousand years, like the other witches. I can’t wait to see how the story develops from here. Hopefully, we’ll get some answers.
It was nice to see that Rino and Makana were not eaten by Galia, although I can’t say them leaving with Lilia fills me with loads of confidence. We still don’t know why she didn’t get the mark around her neck when she mated with Yota and we know that she is the one who threw Yota out of the windows. There are so many threads dangling that it’s going to be amazing to see them all come together. I can’t wait!
