Nozomi accidentally performed a very hard move and it instantly took its toll on her body. Once she had recovered, Nagisa took her aside and warned her never to use it again. However, Nozomi was insistent even if it meant her health!

What happened?
Since Nozomi was so determined to master the Vacuum Butt Cannon, a move that would guarantee her the prize queen status she desired but would ultimately destroy her health, Nagisa relented on the condition that Nozomi followed her training to the letter. The first part was to wear a special training suit that seemed to work against her muscles. Even standing still was hard, but she agreed to wear it continuously for an entire month. She couldn’t run in it. She couldn’t swim in it. In fact, any movement was nigh on impossible. Even using chopsticks ended disastrously. However, Nozomi was not about to give up.
Meanwhile, Non spotted Kazane acting strangely in the bath and asked what she was doing. Well, it turns out that if Kazane touches someone’s butt, she can acquire all the data on their playing style and skills. Non was quite excited about this and quickly came up with a plan to help Kazane out. She offered free massages to everyone interested… and they were all interested. That gave Kazane an endless source of information, but would it ever come in useful?
Nozomi was the last person that Kazane massaged and she noticed that she was incredibly tense. Kazane suggested that Nozomi should try relaxing, which made Nozomi laugh since she was constantly at war with the training suit. However, that night, she decided to take Kazane’s advice and soon found that once she relaxed the suit became useable. Her body became more fluid. She had been going about things all wrong. Luckily, she learnt this just in time for the Class Change Race where the elite class members were mixed with similar players from the normal class and everyone had the chance to change class. Sayaka was particularly determined to win since she had been mocked by Rin Rokudou, the self-proclaimed fastest Keijo player in the world!
What did you think?
It just keeps getting better and better. We got a chance to meet some of the Elite class members again including Hanabi Kawai, Mio Kusaki, and Rin Rokudou. They were keen to recruit Nozomi since she just showed what she was capable of. Rin was incredibly dismissive of everyone else in the normal class, which upset Sayaka, setting them on the path to a head-to-head… I mean butt-to-butt showdown. This episode ended with them just about to fight for the chance to change classes. It’s about to get really exciting.
Also, I talked about how this series is one of my favourite sports anime and it showed once more that it fully understands the tropes. Nozomi accidentally performs a legendary move that is guaranteed to propel her to instant fame, but then she is forbidden from using it. However, Nozomi is determined and quite likely desperate as she doesn’t care about a long and sustainable career, she needs to become a prize queen now no matter the costs. I don’t think we’ve seen Nozomi’s true motivation, but it’s clear that she is not from an affluent family. She constantly marvels at the little things in her life at the academy and is eternally grateful for anything and everything. It’s been subtle, but that’s nice. It’s not in your face with a massive info dump. There’s definitely plenty to learn from this series from a storytelling point of view.
