After their first session with the pros, Nozomi has been left deflated. She asked Sayaka for help but didn’t really explain herself before undressing. Anyhow, her butt has gained a bunch of muscle and it’s slowing her down!

What happened?
When Sayaka returned from her first training session, she found most of the In-Fighters in the common area, looking beaten and deflated. However, there was no sight of Nozomi. That was waiting for her in her room. She was surprised to find Nozomi there and even more so when she started to undress and ask Sayaka what she thought. Were her boobs the right shape and size? Were her nipples too dark? Maybe, it wasn’t her boobs that were the problem. She dropped her pants and turned around. Was the problem her butt? Sayaka didn’t know what to do or where to look. Seconds later a naked Nozomi flew through the door in front of a startled Kazane and Non.
When they finally got Nozomi to explain the problem they began to work on a solution. Sayaka suggested that she watch Shirayuki to see what she was doing differently. Then, they went outside where Nozomi did some butt figure of eights. Sayaka didn’t notice any difference, however, Kazane zeroed in on the issue. Since Nozomi had been using the UTM to train her body to survive the Vacuum Butt Cannon, she had gained a lot of extra muscle on her butt. That made it slower and harder to move. Shirayuki passed by and confirmed Kazane’s diagnosis. She told Nozomi that having the strongest move wouldn’t help her if everyone saw it coming.
The next day everyone began training in the UTMs. Well, everyone except Nozomi who had been wearing one for a whole month. Shirayuki had a different thing she wanted Nozomi to learn. She needed a speed move. Something that would utilise her muscular butt and allow her to keep her opponent on their toes. She was going to learn the Butt Flash! However, to do that Nozomi would be pulling turnips out of the ground with her butt. Every one she broke they would be forced to buy which ensured the group had plenty of turnips for every meal. With every turnip she broke, Nozomi got more and more frustrated.
Another day of zero whole turnips pulled ended when Mio Kusaki came to tell her the day was over. Curious about what Nozomi was doing, she gave it a go and instantly pulled one out whole. Nozomi begged her to tell her the secret. However, Mio offered to tell her in their room that night which made Nozomi recoil and bump the trailer with her butt. That was enough to give her an idea as to how she might do it. She needed to use her new muscles to build momentum and then snap the turnip out of the ground. It worked. Shirayuki was delighted to see that Nozomi had worked it out for herself. Now, she was ready for the East-West War!
What did you think?
Mr Miyagai really set the stage for the secretive instructor. It’s always a little frustrating when the instructors don’t explain what they are doing or why, or in this case even explain how to solve the problem. I understand that knowledge gained is far more powerful than knowledge told, but does it need to be so cryptic? Anyhow, it was very satisfying seeing Nozomi finally work it out. Although the panic at the beginning of the episode was also very funny. Poor Sayaka didn’t know what to do or where to look. I also love the ridiculous lines this series throws at us. In this episode, Shirayuki told Nozomi that she needed to take her butt to its limit.
We also got to see the teacher’s side of things and realised that Shirayuki was impressed by Nozomi. Too bad Nozomi didn’t see it that way and only focused on the criticism. It’s hard to come up against something so beyond your understanding that it makes you question everything you’ve done up to this point, however, it is essential if you want to make the next step. I don’t think Nozomi will take anyone or anything for granted again. She’s not only learned more about herself but how to watch and analyse what others are doing. She’s always learning now and that can only propel her to even higher heights. It’s been a rollercoaster for Nozomi, but she’s had some incredible character growth. Who says this show is just about boobs and butts?
