Miko is struggling to keep it together in class with the ghosts that seem to be attached to the new teacher. What’s more, Hana is starving after missing second breakfast. Could there be a connection?

What happened?

During class, the large ghost moves between the desks sneering at anyone that looks at Zen Toono. Miko does her best to ignore it but there’s something very strange going on, even by her standards. The large ghost even goes inside Zen at one point, reminding Miko of the event on the train. She even considers telling the ghost she saw there about it, but how would she even manage that?

Miko thinks she’s going to be all right, but then Zen Toono asks her to continue the reading all while the large ghost eyeballs her and yells at her to not look at him. She’s fighting back tears and that’s drawn Zen’s attention. Just as he gets close enough to her for the ghost to get really angry, Hana’s stomach rumbles.

She asks to go to the nurse’s office and Miko rushes to help her, finding the perfect excuse to leave the classroom. Yuria sees them walking past and follows. In the nurse’s office, Yuria lets slip that Hana is probably being drained by the ghosts attached to the new teacher, but Miko is sure she can’t see the big one. Maybe, Yuria can explain Hana’s spirit energy, however, Yuria thinks she’s in trouble with Miko and runs off.

After school, Hana and Miko went to a park for something to eat. Miko notices that there are ghosts everywhere, however, she accidentally waves at one that looks like a boy holding a balloon. It realises she can see it and loses its mind rushing to attack her. The two spirits appear and save her before telling her that was her second time. She has just one left!

What did you think?

In the last episode, I said that I didn’t think that Zen Toono was possessed. I would like to retract that statement as that seems to be the case. It could be that the ghost is just living in there, but I get the feeling it is in control. It seems to be too aware of Miko and may have a suspicion that she can see the ghosts around it.

I’m going to make a bit of a prediction here. I think that the spirit cats will show up to save Miko from the big ghost in the class, but that’s not the real threat. The real threat is whatever is living inside Toono and making him kill cats. That all sounds fairly believable, but here’s the kicker. Miko will lure Toono onto a train where the axe ghost will extract the real threat. Of course, things would be a lot easier if Miko, Yuria, and Hana got together and talked things through. There needs to be a real sharing of information, however, it’s tricky given that the ghosts seem to be everywhere.
