After dying in the forest on the way to the Temple Stellura, Anastasia decided that she needed to do some more preparations before attempting it again. So, she went North in search of the mining town and better equipment.

What happened?
Even though she died and had to face some penalties, Anastasia still did enough to level up and gain some new abilities. However, she realised that it would be some time before she was ready to attempt that quest again. She needed to level up some more, Unit One needed to level up, and they both needed some stronger equipment. Well, she knew exactly where she needed to go to accomplish all of those things – North. There she could defeat the boss of the North and gain access to the mining town of Welshtead. On the way, Anastasia decided that she was ready to add another unit to her party. So she summoned another skeleton – Unit Two.
They reached the clearing in the North and found the boss – a Golem. However, because someone had already defeated it, it was a weakened version and stood little to no chance of fighting Anastasia. Anastasia used Dark Ritual on the corpse and gained the ability to summon a golem herself. She tried a few things with Unit Two, resummoning it as a skeleton-golem which was too brittle and a zombie-golem which was a bit better. After getting to Welshtead, they found a mine and began to search for ore. They managed to find quite a lot of ore and even one of Anastasia’s generals from the World Event – Musasabi.
With the shutdown for the update coming soon, Anastasia turned in all of her potions for the crafting event and logged out. Kotone was busy catching up with her studies when her sister ran into the room to reveal that there was a live stream from the “Big Cheese” of FLFO. They watched as he outlined the updates going into the game. They would now have daily, weekly, and monthly quests to complete. A new dungeon was being added to Beginning Town specifically for all the newbies – they were opening up the server to another forty thousand players. Then, he revealed that the work was done and the game was back online.
Anastasia logged in and was shocked to see so many new players. At first, she wasn’t sure how she would get about, however, her regal status seemed to force the players to step aside, giving her an unrestricted path. She found Ertz and negotiated for some top equipment, spending enough for him to open a physical shop. Then, she headed West to beat the only remaining boss that she hadn’t faced and do a little more levelling up. On her way there, she met Clementia, a sexy mandrake… Anyhow, they formed a party and defeated the boss together, unlocking the last region. The next day, back at Beginning Town, she ran into Skelly and after helping him with some necromancy, she said that they should team up to find the Nether together. There was no way Skelly could refuse an offer like that.
What did you think?
It was more crazy adventures for Anastasia in Free Life Fantasy Online and I loved every moment. We’ve met some more characters, seen old friends, and even got to see how the noobs are forced to treat Anastasia. It’s funny to think that she has basically become a celebrity in the game, especially as some of her other real-life friends have now joined. Seriously, I’d be in there in a heartbeat if that game was real. My biggest concern, however, would be finding time for anything else. A full-dive game like that would change society forever.
This volume ended with something to look forward to as Anastasia suggested that she wanted to try to summon herself. As in creating a copy of herself through summoning and being able to fight by her own side. What a terrifying prospect for anyone who wants to go up against her. I can’t wait to see if she pulls it off, however, I have to wait. The next volume is scheduled to be released in January 2025 with the one after that scheduled for May 2025. I’ve really gotten into this series over the last couple of weeks and will be gutted that I have to wait. Still, it’s not like I don’t have anything else to read in the meantime!!!
