Chisato has discovered a secret about Takina and she can’t keep it in. Takina wears boxers. Not panties. Boxers! So, on their next day off, Chisato takes Takina shopping for panties and stuff!
Lycoris Recoil (Episode 4) – Nothing seek, nothing find
Takina came to the cafe to find Chisato and Kurumi playing a VR video game. Chisato was losing so she gave the headset to Takina and told her to win. Takina got into the game so much that they had to move the furniture. That was when Chisato made the discovery that would change their lives forever. Apparently, Takina wears boxers. When she transferred to Lyco Reco, she had no clothes of her own and had never needed to buy any, so when Mika said he’d provide the uniform, she just needed to get panties, she asked him what kind he wears…
That just won’t do. Chisato tells Takina that they are going shopping on their next day off. She can’t wear her uniform either, which is a problem so she asks Mika if he has any clothes she can use… When Takina meets up with Chisato she sees just how much work will be needed. They go clothes shopping and then underwear shopping. Unfortunately, they are all out of lingerie suitable for a gunfight, so Takina makes Chisato show her what she’s wearing… much to Chisato’s horror.
After that, they get lunch and visit an aquarium where Takina learns that Chisato has benefited from the Alan Institute and it was Shinji that gave her the necklace. They saw a lot of crazy fish and Takina even started to relax. However, on the way home, they saw a train station that was temporarily closed and a lot of Lycoris around. What was going on?
What did you think?
This episode was as hilarious as it was unexpected. Chisato’s reaction when she saw Takina’s underwear was priceless, but then to learn that she was wearing those because she asked Mika for advice. It was just a great episode and not because it was all about panties. They took something that anime is known for and flipped it. There were so many good moments that it’s hard to list them all, but at the end of the episode as Chisato was clearing out all of Takina’s boxers she decided to try a pair on and see what all the fuss was for.
Once more, her reaction was incredible and then when Mizuki walked in and assumed the worst things got even funnier. It even made Takina laugh which was definitely a first. There’s something incredibly warm and fuzzy about their relationship with one another and everyone at the cafe. You wouldn’t have expected it coming into a show about assassins, but here we are and it’s wonderful. My only criticism of the episode is the introduction of Majima whose only goal is to upset the fake balance of Japan. Seems like a really lame comic-book villain approach to things.
