Lycoris Recoil (Episode 10) – Repay evil with evil
What happened?
Takina has gone back to the DA and is busy preparing to go after Majima, however, he knew they were coming and was able to get away. Before doing so, he set up a camera so he could talk to those that would come after him. He accuses the commander of being a part of the problem. An organisation that does not work with the law is just as evil as his group. Takina wants to know about Yoshimatsu, but their time is up as Robota severs the link.
Back at LycoReco, Chisato tells Kurumi and Mizuki that they are closing the cafe and that they should take the chance to find someplace new to live and work. They are understandably shaken by the news but Chisato has made up her mind. However, she takes a long time to say goodbye to the cafe and is still there when a call comes in from the DA. They need her to come in as Majima has placed guns all across the city and is waiting for chaos to ensue.
However, Robota contacted Chisato at the same time and showed her a picture of Yoshimatsu, warning her to stay away. Even with everything Mika said about Yoshimatsu and how he’s involved in everything, Chisato still wants to save him. There’s a lot she needs to ask him.
What did you think?
I can’t believe they are going to try to make us feel sorry for Yoshimatsu. Well, at least that’s how it looks right now. Hopefully, Chisato will get something useful from him, but I also hope she sees that he can’t do anything of the like again. I’m pretty sure that Takina wouldn’t think twice about executing him so there’s always that to fall back on. I still think there’s going to be another twist and am excited to see what it is. I’m made a bunch of predictions throughout these posts and I’d love for one to come true.
Also, that scene with Mika and Chisato was tough. How is she so well-adjusted when everyone around her is a lunatic? I get that people can and often do change, which we saw with Mika and how he went from seeing Chisato as a weapon to cherishing her as a father. However, I don’t think we’ll see that sort of development with Yoshimatsu. His dedication to the Alan Institute will hopefully seal his fate. Also, Majima’s plan to release thousands of weapons into the streets of Japan is a crazy one. Things are going to get messed up.
