What happened?

At the end of the last episode, Takuya faded away before Ayumi. She told him that his father had said this would happen. Unable to do anything about it, Takuya woke up back where it had all begun, back when he saw the elf girl and Ryuuzouji pulled a gun on him. In what seemed like a dream, Takuya’s father told him that he would return to his original world, but things would be slightly different.

And they were! The incident with the gun never happened. There were other small differences too, some subtle, others like Eriko’s clothing laying on the bed with no sight of her. This time around, Principal Ryuuzouji asked Takuya to come to his house to deliver his father’s works. Mio and Yuuki asked to come along, or rather Mio asked and Takuya made Yuuki.

There, they saw the tapestry that holds the secrets to the mysterious goings-on. Ryuuzouji took Takuya aside to tell him more about his father and the strange incidents involving his mother. Then, he tried to perform some strange form of hypnotism on him, demanding that he hand over the mysterious device…

What did you think?

So, this looks like how it’s going to work. Takuya will get to the bottom of one mystery, the worlds will reset sending him back to the beginning and another mystery will present itself. That all sounds fine to me. This series is really surprising me with how good it is. The last arc built up and up, giving us a truly dark patch before Takuya found a way to beat it. Hopefully, this arc will give us another great story to follow.
