Takuya Arima has recently found out that his father, a well-known historian has disappeared while researching a local mystery. He’s presumed dead, but not everything is quite as it seems!

What happened?
Takuya is still dealing with the news of his father’s disappearance when a teacher asks him to watch over the new transfer student. It strikes him as odd that a student would transfer so close to the summer vacation but he’s not one to turn down a pretty lady in need. Later that day, Takuya returns home to find a package waiting for him. Thinking it might be a certain DVD, he rips open the packaging to find a strange device.
After witnessing a strange lightning strike near where his stepmother is working on the TV, Takuya rushes to see if she is all right. Everything appears to be fine, so he heads back home only to discover a second package. In this one, there is a heavy document about parallel worlds and a note to Takuya from his father telling him to meet him on the strange rock structure at the beach.
There he meets a beautiful naked girl with elf ears. She says “you know?” and then kisses him before disappearing right before his eyes. His father’s colleague, Principal Ryzuuzouji appears with his stepmother and pulls a gun on him, demanding he hand over the strange device. Then something odd happens and Takuya wakes up at home. Bizarrely, it’s as if the events of the night before never happened…
What did you think?
There was a lot to take in with this episode. For one, we’re introduced to all of the girls in the show. Obviously, Eriko Takeda is the clear winner after the first episode, although the mysterious naked elf girl is definitely up there too. Not a lot has been revealed about the actual story yet, but it is a mystery so I’m looking forward to unravelling it as we go.
