YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of This World (Episode 21) – The Quarry Where Demons Rule
What happened?
So, it looks like Takuya has found the Psychite and knows exactly where he is in relation to his world. Now, he just needs to find a way of getting some out and escaping from the lightning towers. Sounds easy! If only there wasn’t a perverted warden just waiting for Takuya to slip up so that he can do unspeakable things to him… it involved a finger…
Then another prisoner is brought to the quarry, but this time it’s a girl. She is Amanda, leader of the revolutionary army determined to overthrow the Devine Emperor and since Takuya hopes to punch the Devine Emperor in the face, it’s like a match made in heaven. Doesn’t she seem somewhat familiar though?
What did you think?
So, this episode was fairly low key. Not a great deal happened but there was a lot of little nuggets of information. We know that at some point, this is the location where the two worlds collide, leaving one of the lightning towers in Takuya’s world. Does this then mean that it hasn’t happened yet in this world? Takuya’s father did mention that time is not the same everywhere.
On top of that, we met Amanda. Now, I think that Amanda looks a little bit like Kanna’s mother. They even have her wearing the same colours as in the picture Kanna had. See the highlights from episode 17 for comparison. So, based on that assumption, I believe that Takuya is actually Kanna’s father… I know, right! Now for my next trick. I think that the Devine Emperor is actually Takuya’s stepmother, Ayumi! Whaaat! This one is a little bit further out there, but it’s a hunch and I’m going with it. Do you have any theories about the series? I’d love to hear them.
