Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story (Episode 13) – I Think Who Gets What Room Is Very Important For Girls
The first day of the tournament sets Eve and Aoi up for an easy win, however, it takes them a while to get used to playing together. Of course, there are some disagreements about whether to gamble or take the easy win!
Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story (Episode 13) – I Think Who Gets What Room Is Very Important For Girls
What happened?
The first order of business, however, is to decide who sleeps where. Aoi wants to sleep in the same room as Eve, but Amane refuses, insisting that she’ll sleep with her. Eve doesn’t seem to mind as she grabs Ichina and loudly declares that they will sleep together. It would appear that Aoi is easy to tease and Eve knows it. It was probably for the best anyhow, as Eve is quite the active sleeper as Ichina soon discovers.
Their first game begins the following morning and it starts off as they might have expected, quickly getting a nice lead. Then, on the seventh hole Eve gambles on their second shot, hoping to set up an eagle putt for Aoi. Their opponents can only hope for par so there’s no need to gamble, but that’s not how Eve plays. Unfortunately, she hits the bunker and then Aoi can’t get it out in one, much to Eve’s amusement.
Their main opponents in the tournament from Nada and Koran high schools are flying, easily winning their game without any of the outbursts that we’re seeing from Eve and Aoi. It’s a wake-up call for them, although they are still winning. However, if they’re going to beat the best and win the entire tournament they really need to be at the top of their game. As such, they decide on some forfeits each time they make a mistake. Every time Aoi misses a shot, she has to buy Eve a burger and every time Eve screws up, she has to kiss Aoi!
What did you think?
I didn’t think we’d get to the end of the tournament, but I did think we’d get an ending… Alas, it was not to be. This episode was great and gave Aoi and Eve a chance to let off some steam and also show them that they weren’t invincible. After all, they are just first-year students and they are facing their seniors. Of course, Eve has been playing against adults for years so that shouldn’t be much of a bother and you can see it in her approach to things.
That said, there is room for Eve to grow and that is going to be about adding control to her game. If she can destroy her opponents with her big hits and reckless golf, just imagine how demoralised they will be when she starts playing smart options. That said, Ichina pointed out perfectly how they’re going to need to take risks if they are going to win. You’re not going to be the best by playing it safe. Of course, it’s about finding the balance. That said, I hope they go out there all guns blazing. This is a shoot-out after all!
At the time of writing this post, I have a little bit of a wait for season two to air, but as this post airs, season two should have just concluded. Worry not, I’m going to dive straight in and continue these posts as if it was one glorious season. I’ve had a lot of fun watching this series and I just hope that season two continues in the same vein. Of course, there’s a lot to catch up on such as just who is Leo Millafoden, what is wrong with Coach Amuro, will the Mafia track down Eve, and will Aoi get that kiss? Stay tuned!
