Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls (Episode 3) – Everyday Life Under Dangerous Circumstances
What happened?
Mia decided to give Papi and Centorea a presentation on how the interspecies rules work. She even added a little extra to make sure they understood that since she was there first, she was number one and had first dibs on Darling. On top of that, Centorea hadn’t completed her documents to confirm Kimihito as her host and Agent Smith was coming over today to collect them. Meanwhile, all this information was too much for Papi who was starting to overheat. Since Mia and Centorea were in the middle of an argument, it fell to Kimihito to get her into the bath to cool down. Luckily, Agent Smith had provided her with a swimsuit. She just needed some help putting it on since Harpys don’t have hands. That went as well as can be expected with Kimihito ending up in the bathtub with Papi. Centorea burst into the bathroom and grabbed Kimihito before running out of the house with him. Unfortunately, Papi and Mia caught up with them and a fight almost broke out. Agent Smith managed to stop them by shooting Kimihito with three tranquiliser darts…
After he had woken up, the girls were embarrassed about what happened and vowed to not be a problem for him again. He reminded them that they were like a family and that they shouldn’t feel like they needed to hide anything or act differently. That reminded Agent Smith of something important. The rules were changing for interspecies relations meaning marriage was going to be allowed. As such, she recommended that Kimihito marry one of the three girls living with him. They were all quite taken with the idea and were determined to know who he would choose. There was also something else Agent Smith had planned on telling him, but she forgot what it was. Well, it turned out that there was a full moon that night and that drove the monster girls crazy with lust. poor Kimihito had to fight for his life to avoid becoming each of their playthings. In the morning, his body covered in bandages, Kimihito told the girls that he would like to date each of them before making a decision.

What did you think?
I lied, this episode finished off the first volume of the manga, which ended when Agent Smith told Kimihito that he would need to marry one of them. So, the beginning of the second volume makes up the rest of the episode when the girls are under the full moon’s influence. Wild times indeed! Anyhow, this was a lot of fun and gave the girls a little more time to shine. It was notable that Papi and Centorea both got slightly more time than Mia and I think that’s because she had an entire episode all to herself. Got to make things fair!
Violent nosebleeds returned as Kimihito experienced numerous incidents, each seeming to propel him into the air. It’s annoying, but I’ll try not to mention it going forward as I’d much rather spend my time talking about the girls. I love how different they are and that goes beyond their different species. Their personalities are vastly different and the way they treat each other and Kimihito show that while they all want the same thing, they are not the same. Variety is the key to a well-balanced harem, especially as it’s not really for the protagonist. It’s for everyone watching.

What was your highlight?
It goes without saying that Agent Smith once again turned everything upside down with a few carefully placed words. She really is determined to mess with Kimihito. I laughed that he actually blamed her for everything that had gone wrong. It’s about time he realised what she’s up to. Anyhow, my highlight was the confirmation that Centorea is my favourite girl (outside of Agent Smith). She fulfils the strong girl with a sword trope that always appeals to me. She’s also chivalrous and cute. I loved it when she got flustered from holding Kimihito’s hand and how she tried to claim that the full moon didn’t impact her as she placed his hand on her chest.
I’d say Mia is next in line with Papi coming in last. Sorry, Papi, but you’re just not my type. Of course, there are still another nine episodes to go and several more girls to be introduced. Anything could happen and with Agent Smith pulling the strings that really is possible. Yeah, Agent Smith is definitely my favourite character in the series. I just wish she was in the episodes for more than a couple of minutes at a time.
