Now that Adlet has been cleared, it’s time to work out who is the fake Brave! Adlet’s initial thoughts point to Mora, but then Chamo and Hans reveal some information that make it painfully clear who it is!

What happened?
Given the way Mora has been acting, she is the obvious one to suspect as the fake Brave. She has had everyone running around in a bid to kill Adlet without hesitation. However, as all eyes turn to her, Chamo brings out some fascinating information. Inside the temple, she excavated two stone tablets. One had the instructions on how to activate and deactivate the barrier and the other was a replacement tablet that was used to activate it. In short, whoever broke the tablet was the one who broke the tablet is the fake. But that would mean it was Nashentania. Adlet thought back to the trap that was meant to paint him as the fake. It was key that he had to be the one to get to the temple first. Who was it who told him to go?
Nashentania stared back at the group without a hint of remorse. She was the fake. Her goal was to create a world where Fiends and humans could live in peace. To do that, she needed to revive the Demon God. There would need to be some sacrifice, however, she figured that the loss of five hundred thousand lives was a fair price to pay. No one agreed with her. They tried to cut her down, but she used a Fiend technique to escape. Then, she deactivated the barrier and fled. Adlet passed out from his injuries as the others tried to track her down. When he woke, Mora was sitting with him. She apologised for not believing him. Adlet wasn’t worried. It was in the past. Now, they needed to go after the Demon God. As they left the temple, the King arrived and was prepared to reactivate the barrier as all of the Fiends were flooding this way. There was one other thing that needed to be dealt with and that was the arrival of Rolonia, the Saint of Blood who also was a Brave…
What did you think?
Well, this was a thrilling conclusion to the season. However, it opened up a lot of questions for the future and given that no second season was created, it seems incredibly unlikely that anything more will be made now. There are a number of light novels which seems to be the only way to find out anything further. Sadly, a lot of the online details are jumbled at best. So, if you want to know more, hit the books. Anyhow, as to this episode. I feel like it didn’t do enough to make it painfully obvious that Nashentania was the fake. I don’t mean that we should have seen it coming, but in retrospect, all of her actions should have become crystal clear once it was revealed that she was the fake. Her desperately trying to prove Adlet’s innocence was an interesting tactic to take attention away from her, but there should have been hints that she wasn’t genuine. Something that only the audience can see.
I’m also not a huge fan of the new seventh Brave and her arrival felt like a bit of an anticlimax. This feels like it would have been a good way to start the next season. Ending the first season like this is frustrating as it raises so many more questions that are never going to be answered. The first time I watched this, I was more in awe of how they pulled us into a fantasy quest and then turned it into a who-done-it! That concept is fascinating and something that I plan to explore further. However, upon watching it a second time, I can see that there are a lot of holes. There are a lot of things that seem to happen magically and quite coincidentally. That pulls away from what appears to be a very cleverly woven mystery. I enjoyed watching it again,
