Citrus (Episode 11) – love you only

Mei told Yuzu to forget everything and left. Nina saw it happen and realised that was her chance to make Sara’s dreams come true. The next day they were visiting the relationship shrine. It was the perfect opportunity.
Citrus (Episode 11) – love you only
What happened?
Yuzu was distraught. She hasn’t meant it to go that way. Didn’t Mei want them to just be sisters? It’s all too confusing, but then she’s never really told Mei exactly how she feels. Luckily, Yuzu has Harumi to cheer her up and drag her out of bed. There’s a lot to see today, not least a shrine that promotes relationships… Yuzu knows exactly what she’s going to do.
Meanwhile, Nina found out where they were going and arranged for her and Sara to go too. She was going to make sure Sara had a chance to tell Mei how she felt. Nina found Mei and told Sara to meet her there, forcing them into a situation where Sara couldn’t back out. She didn’t either. Sara confessed her love to Mei and asked her out.
Back at the hotel, Nina found Yuzu and told her that Sara had successfully asked out the girl of her dreams and then made Yuzu swear to back her up… not that she needed it. They were friends after all. Anyhow, Yuzu ran to grab a bath and bumped into Mei coming out. Yuzu had missed the school’s slot but said she’d only be a minute. In the bath, she found Sara who gave her a pep talk, sensing that she was down. Yuzu once more found the courage to tell Mei how she felt. She just needed a moment alone with her.

What did you think?
They really went all out in their efforts to make Nina the villain. I remember her being protective of her sister and making things happen for her, but I don’t remember her being quite such a bitch. It’s those lingering shots of her eyes as she stared down Yuzu that left me feeling cold. Anyhow, Sara has realised that she and Yuzu are in love with the same person so that makes things complicated, but remember she believes in fate and will not miss the clues.
I love Yuzu and am one hundred percent behind her, but come on. Say what you’re feeling. We already know that kissing her isn’t the same as saying it. She needs to hear it. Anyhow, all these angsty teenagers have led me to the conclusion that people need to learn how to say what they are feeling from a much younger age. It would reduce a lot of the confusion and make everyone happier. It does make for some good drama though… There’s one episode left and I know how it goes. Won’t make it any less tense though.
