Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls (Episode 12) – Everyday Life with Monster Girls

The girls didn’t take Dullahan’s warning too well. Desperate to keep Kimihito safe, they whisked him away, and that didn’t turn out to be much safer. Will Kimihito be able to dodge Fate’s grasp or will the girls deliver him to Death’s door?
Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls (Episode 12) – Everyday Life with Monster Girls
What happened?
After Dullahan’s warning, the girls jumped to protect Kimihito. Rachnera restrained Dullahan while Papi grabbed Kimihito and flew out the window. Unfortanately, Papi can’t see too well at night and ended up flying way too low. Then, she crashed through a billboard with him. Luckily, Suu was there to catch him. However, he soon found himself drowning inside her body. After Mio pulled him free, Centorea, dragged him across town and then, Mero pulled him into the river and tried to swim away. However, she realised that the entire situation was so wonderfully tragic that she had an opportunity that might never present itself again. They needed to mate before he died!

Kimihito was not ready for that and given that he couldn’t fight back while underwater, it fell to Mio to pull him out. She tried to squeeze the water out of his lungs. Then, Rachnera arrived and restrained Mio. She suggested that maybe they should let Dullahan put poor Kimihito out of his misery. Mio told them they would need to kill her too. Finally, Kimihito had a chance to speak. He casually walked away, dropping a series of notorious red flags. If Death was coming for him, he would surely find out soon. Of course, it wasn’t, and Dullahan wasn’t a harbinger of doom. If anything, she was a Chuunibyou caught up in her own lies.

After Agent Smith decided to house Dullahan with Kimihito things got a little tricky. They were running out of food faster than ever and things were getting tighter and tighter since Mio kept trying to cook and failing spectacularly. Kimihito took some of the girls to the market since his normal grocery store was closed. They managed to get a lot of free food from the vendors who were excited to see so many interesting characters. Finally, Suu took Kimihito to the forest where Kii allowed them to harvest some edible plants. Luckily, Suu was able to identify the edible ones from the poison ones. Anyhow, after cooking a massive meal where Agent Smith and MON joined them, the food was gone once more. What was Kimihito going to do?

What did you think?
I loved the ending of this episode, and it perfectly encapsulated my overall favourite character from the series. Agent Smith has been an absolute delight from the beginning to the end, and her discovering that she hadn’t told Kimihito that he could claim expenses for feeding the girls was amazing. She basically made everything happen in this series by either being forgetful or devious, and I’m more inclined to think it was more often the latter of the two.

So, onto the first part of the episode. The way that each of the girls almost killed Kimihito while trying to save him was a wonderful amalgamation of all the times that he had almost died during the season. In fact, Centorea appearing to kill the drunks that always seemed to show up was rather fitting too. However, all we know is that their car exploded. They might have survived, but it wasn’t confirmed, so I’m going to believe they finally got what they deserved.

I also loved it when they revealed that Dullahan was basically an emo who believed in her story, and of course, she needed to move in with them so that she could watch over Kimihito as he danced on Death’s door repeatedly. It was nice to see Kii briefly and I had to laugh when Draco returned only to come face to face with Suu in poison mode. Suu really is quite terrifying. Anyhow, it was a great end to an incredibly enjoyable series.
