Wakana Gojo has just two weeks in which to make Marin’s Shizuku costume. He has no idea if that’ll be long enough or not, but he’s also got midterms to worry about. Oh, and his grandpa fell over and hurt himself. Stressful!

What happened?
Gojo came home from shopping with Marin which surprised his grandpa, although he was pleased to know that he had friends. Then, he saw what Gojo had in his shopping bag – lacy stockings. The surprise caused him to fall over and hurt his back. After some time in the hospital, he was discharged and went to stay with Gojo’s cousin’s family until he was completely better. That took up more of Gojo’s time as he split his time between their home and his cousin’s. Marin offered to help out however she could, but could tell that he was distant and struggling. She even showed up at his home with some takeout for dinner, but he didn’t appear to be there.
The truth, however, was that he was there. He was just lying in the dark panicking about everything that he had going on. With his grandpa injured, he was left to watch over the shop. He also had his midterms to study for. And, then there was Marin’s costume. He didn’t want to let her down, but could he really make it in time for the cosplay convention? He remembered something that his grandpa had said to him. Having a passion for something doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be good at it. However, it’s that passion that will keep you working at it when others would give up. He couldn’t give up now. Not when Marin was depending on him!
To Marin’s surprise, he finished it on the day of the convention. Gojo looked exhausted, but he was delighted to see how happy Marin was. However, she soon realised that he had been working himself to the bone for her, all because she hadn’t been clear. Yes, there was a cosplay convention on that weekend, but she never expected him to finish it in time. She had no idea how long it would take and was prepared to wait. Once, they’d gotten over the misunderstanding, Gojo asked Marin if she would like to try it on. He may need to alter parts of it. She did and she loved it. Marin had become Shizuku from Saint♡ Slippery’s Academy For Girls. She turned to Gojo and asked, “Do I make a proper sex slave?” He smiled back at her, “You’re Shizuku-Tan all right. You’re a fantastic sex slave.”
What did you think?
I love this series. I love how utterly wholesome it is. So much so that the main characters, Gojo and Marin can talk about Marin looking like a sex slave without even batting an eyelid. It’s perfect. I remembered the quote from Gojo’s grandpa about passion and hard work from the anime because it inspired this post – Knowing When to Pivot! So, yeah. On top of being a beautifully wholesome romance, it’s packed full of inspiring messages. Even when Marin talked about the cosplay convention and how she was thrilled to see so many people doing what they love, it showed how people should react to stuff like that. Maybe, you’ll see a convention for something you don’t care about or understand, but you can still appreciate the love that others may have for it. Acceptance is such a key message in this series.
Of course, once they had the costume, there was no stopping Marin from going to the convention to show it off, dragging Gojo along with her. It was another great learning experience for them as Marin wore two push-up bras which ended up contributing to her overheating. The fabric Gojo had chosen also didn’t breathe well and he made the costume without considering that someone might need to move inside it. It looked amazing, but there were some practical updates he learned from the process. However, the best moment was when Gojo told Marin she looked really pretty as he dozed on the train. I loved her reaction, which was understandable after he’d told her that he never uses that word unless it’s something that blows him away. Too cute!
