Gojou discovers that Marin’s cosplay is from an eroge and isn’t sure how to process that. Then, she shows up at his house on the weekend to be measured and he has no idea how to handle that!
My Dress-Up Darling (Episode 2) – Wanna Hurry Up, and Do It?
What happened?
At first, Gojou thinks that Marin might be teasing him about the eroge cosplay. Since he barely talks to anyone he has gotten out of practice picking up on the subtleties of comedy. However, she is deadly serious and since it means so much to her, he’s willing to help her. Marin has a guide to creating a cosplay that she lends to Gojou. It has simple step-by-step instructions and yet, she couldn’t follow that.
The first thing to do is take Marin’s measurement, however, it’s getting late and tomorrow is the weekend so Gojou suggests they wait until Monday. She’s fine with that. That night, Gojou goes through the guidebook as he prepares himself for the tasks at hand. His grandpa tells him that he’s going to buy a new sewing machine in the morning and that he doesn’t need to open the store.
The next day, Gojou rushes to the door when he hears someone knocking. He tries to explain that they are closed, but then he notices that it’s Marin and she can’t wait to do the measurements so she lets herself in, after giving Gojou a cheesecake. Gojou is a little concerned about taking her measurements since the guidebook says she should be in her underwear. She tells Gojou it’s fine and starts to remove her clothes. At the last second, she whips open her shirt and flashes her bikini. Gojou dies, all the same.
After a lot of fumbling around and struggling to focus Gojou slaps himself and gets to work. He has a hard time with her feet since she’s lying on his futon and her bust. Her boob gap is out of the question and surprisingly Marin loses her cool when he measures her inseam. Before leaving, Marin lends Gojou both of the Saint Slippery’s Academy for Girls games. His grandpa returns after buying a new sewing machine and finds Gojou busy playing the games and taking notes…
What did you think?
Well, this was amazing. Marin is so completely full of life it’s infectious. Every time she smiles, I smile. There was a moment when Marin offered to close her eyes to make it easier for him. Then, she peeked and it caught Gojou off guard. That was hilarious. In fact, Marin continued to tease and goof around and it was incredible. Who says the perfect woman doesn’t exist… oh, yeah. Right…
Anyhow, this episode was mostly focused on the measurement gathering and that made for some entertaining moments and Marin wearing just her tiny bikini for most of the time. Her excitement and passion for what she’s doing are energising and seeing Gojou realise that was nice. I loved that she did actually get flustered at one point too. This series is shaping up nicely.
