Shion attempts to force the Holy Knights to surrender and is prepared to show them what she’s capable of to achieve this. Meanwhile, Rimuru and Hinata cross swords. If only they had been able to talk it out!
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Episode 56) – Misunderstanding
What happened?
After her team took care of most of the regular Holy Knights, it was up to Shion to take on the leaders, Renard and Garde. She needed them to surrender as Rimuru had ordered her not to kill anyone, however, that didn’t mean she needed to play nice, especially as they were determined to fight her. They erected a barrier around her and attacked. Of course, it was nothing to Shion who hit their attacks back at them, much to their surprise. Then, she tried to reason with them, but Garde was not prepared to listen, so she fired a pebble at him, destroying his right ear. What good was an ear, if not for listening?
Shion told them to hit her with their best attack and if they lost they should surrender. They did and Shion laughed it off. However, they still refused to surrender so she had to destroy their barrier. Only then did Renard realise that they had no hope of winning, let alone surviving in a battle with Shion. Meanwhile, Benimaru, Souei, Suphia, and Albis took each of Hinata’s companions aside so that Hinata and Rimuru could resolve their issues. Neither wanted to fight, but it appeared to each of them that the other did.
Hinata hit him with everything she had and for a while, she was doing well. However, Raphael was able to grant Rimuru a new skill that allowed him to see the attacks before they came at him. Finally, Hinata realised that this was pointless and decided to attack with her strongest move. If Rimuru survived, she would surrender. He did, although he had to sacrifice Devour to do so. After the fight was over, they realised that they had all been played. However, that thought couldn’t last long as the sword the Seven Luminaries had given Hinata attacked on its own. Hinata dived in front of its attack, shielding Rimuru.
What did you think?
It’s ironic that after seven episodes of meetings and talking, we got to an episode that was all fighting and it could have all been solved had they sat down and talked it out. I don’t understand why no one said, “Hey, we don’t need to fight.” Even when Renard realised that he had been tricked by the Seven Luminaries, he failed to call to Hinata to end her fight with Rimuru. Anyhow, for me, this episode was all about Shion and she was incredible. I loved the way she shot that guy’s ear off and then told him he didn’t need it as he wouldn’t listen. Absolutely savage!
Next, we’ll need to find out it Hinata dies from this wound or not. My guess is that she doesn’t. Rimuru has access to healing potions like nobody and Luminous Valentine is on her way to stop anything bad happening. Of course, that’s probably going to escalate things in some way. They hinted that Veldora knew who Luminous was a couple of episodes ago and he’s unlikely to stay at home. Then, we also had the scene at the beginning of the episode when Lumious was hugging a glass box with a girl inside of it. I’m assuming it was some sort of holy prison as it burned her skin, her being a vampire and all. I also think the Seven Luminaries are about to find out that you don’t mess with Rimuru. That should be exciting!
Shion has become absolutely overpowered. I’d like to see an episode where Veldora gets to showcase his power.
Didn’t Rimuru have to give up his biggest power to win?

Yeah, and wasn’t it Shion who basically beat Clayman. He was pounding on her and got nothing out of her and he was a Demon Lord. I’d love to see Veldora go all out too.
And yes, I think he gave up Devour or the evolution of it – the skill he uses to eat everything.

Gluttony, IIRC.
